A good place to take a group to eat in Las Vegas is to one of the many buffets; the only check-splitting required is to divy up drink prices - everyone generally pays the same amount for dinner. The MGM Grand has an extensive buffet, with sushi, barbecue, salads, and seafood all on one buffet. The new buffet at the Wynn is also pretty good, but pretty pricy. Todai, a chain of buffets with an emphasis on Asian food, also has a location at the Aladdin.
The secret is to saunter down the aisles and make a plan of attack before diving in, otherwise one risks the bloating and general uneasiness experienced by feeling flabby in Las Vegas after a too-large meal.
Buffets are great for big groups because seating is usually plentiful, and the possibility that you'll have to call ahead is slight. You aren't annoying an overworked waitress by making her squish tables together, and the self-service food requires little attention from waitstaff except for the drinks.
