Guidebooks
One of the best Las Vegas travel books is The Unofficial Guide to Las Vegas by Bob Sehlinger. This massive tome, running close to 1000 pages, gives excellent detail on everything you want to know, including hotel features, all the great restaurants, free attractions and even the best golf courses for those cozy 110 degree summer mornings.
American Casino Guide by Steve Bourie is published annually in November and has many coupons valid until December of the next year. Coupons include buffet 2/1s, mainly for off strip buffets like Hilton and Orleans, and there's also some drinks coupons, and even hotel coupons. The book costs in the region of $15US, and can often be purchased at places like Barnes and Noble or Amazon.

Gambling Books
A good book for people who are new to gambling is More Frugal Gambling, 2003 by Jean Scott. It goes into great detail about playing video poker and has information about other casino games as well. More importantly, there is great deal of information about casino player programs, hosts and comps.
