There are rules and guidelines in any town.
Here are a few of the guidelines for Las Vegas:
1. Wear comfortable shoes. You will walk much farther than you expect.
2. Pick a show and plan your vacation around it. Stay in or near that hotel or be sure you allow adequate time to get to your show.
3. Shuttles take time. Taxi's cost. Might as well arrange for a limo at each location. It'll only cost an extra $5 or $10 more than a taxi and you arrive in STYLE! It's amazing how differently you are treated at the casino if you arrive by Limo.
4. Right pocket-Left Pocket. The money you plan to gamble with, keep in your right pocket. As you win, place your winnings into your left pocket. When your right pocket is empty...you're done with that gambling session. Walk away.
5. Trust your instincts. When temptation knocks...give in. It may not pass this way again. It's better to lose a couple of $$$ in a machine on a hunch than to second guess yourself only to watch someone else sit down and hit the jackpot in the first 10 spins.
6. Tipping: Anyone can take a tip in Vegas. If you are winning then spread the wealth. Don't forget the lady that cleans your sheets and toilet each day or the servers at the Buffet. Don't forget the lady cashing your chips or parking your car. Don't forget the dealers or bartenders (they won't forget you if you take care of them), and most important, if you are comped, still tip your foodserver. Most times their tip is not part of your comp; get the picture?
The one absolute rule: There is a city ordinance that requires you to carry a photo ID with you at all times.
