After visiting lots of the small shops that you find just everywhere in the city, you might not know what to do. They seem to have almost the same things and almost the same prices, but at Piazza della Republica, you'll find 5 small shops in the street (like a mini-market).

One of these is far on the right, slightly behind the others, close to a stone bench. The prices are really good and the quality is better than many you may find. You'll find trays, bracelets, chess boards, venetian masques, note books, lots of stuff - everything. Ask for Angelo.
