Bath International Music Festival
2008 is the 60th anniversary of this great Festival, with fantastic concerts happening all over the city (and in the outlying villages too). The event in the Bath Calendar year is Party in the City on Friday 23 May, when venues, shops and restaurants across the city host a variety of musical and theatrical entertainments all for FREE. The rest of the programme features internationally acclaimed names from the worlds of classical, contemporary, jazz, world, folk and electronica.

Bath Fringe Festival
A great Bath festival, especially good if you enjoy modern & world music, comedy, theatre, street events, contemporary visual arts, unusual things to do... It's run by Bath people (not 'experts' parachuted in), and happens in many of the more interesting places in the city that don't appear in the guidebooks.
