The town of Cheltenham in the Cotswolds is the home of the famous clothing and home designer Laura Ashley whose shop there is a favorite stop for tourists. Other towns in the region such as Moreton-on-Marsh and Cirencester are known for their open air farmers' and flea markets. Other items popularly for sale in the Cotswolds are antiques; it is one of England's premier antiquing regions, as well as hand-made arts and crafts items such as jewelry and and hats.
