Those arriving in the Cotswolds by air generally fly into London's Heathrow Airport. Heathrow is a very large international airport serving flights from almost all major airlines all over the world. The Cotswolds can also be reached, however, by flying into either Bristol or Birmingham regional airports which are much smaller, but a bit closer to the region.
From Heathrow travelers have a choice of ground transportation. By train passengers can take the London Paddington in Central London. The trip takes about 90 minutes and costs about 20 British pounds. Trains travel 7 days a week. For time tables visit National Rail UK or The Trainline.
Bus service is also available to the Cotswolds from London. Buses make stops in several Cotswolds towns including Bath, Gloucester, Stratford-on-Avon and Oxford to name just a few. Journeys by bus take anywhere from 3-4 hours and cost an average of 15 pounds. For bus schedules and fees visit England's National Express Network website.
