We stayed at the Anastasis appartments for 1 week at the end of June in a Junior Suite. They had been highly recommended by a friend who stayed last year and certainly did not disappoint. Despina the owner & the staff (especially Katerina & Victor) could not be more helpful and were always there with a smile and free Greek Lessons. They show genuine concern for their guests & always make time to assist with recommendations for restaurants, arrange transport or just pass the time of day. The whole place is spotlessly clean & is absolutely perfect for a relaxing & peaceful break - if you want to party go elsewhere!

If you want to get out and about then the bus is fine or take some good shoes & sunscreen and walk to Oia or Fira.

Recommend Flame for long lunch and Ambrosia Nectar for best food & service.

What more can we say that hasn't already been said, the Jacuzzi at sunset, breakfast on the balcony, caldera view etc.

Will definitely be back someday soon.

I have to go along with all the other reviews. This place really is fantastic! We have wanted to visit Santorini for a while but never got around to it then on the spur of the moment in April we decided to book Anastasis Apartments. Despina only had one room available and we had to change our dates slightly but what a good choice! We actually had the smallest room in the place and normally that would be a downer. Not at Anastasis Apartments! Goodness knows what the suites must be like! We were delighted with our room. It was so snowy white I was nervous of making it grubby! We need not have worried. We found out from Despina that as well as the general cleaning (which is immaculate) her staff spray the rooms three times a day to ensure that no insect or mozzie finds its way in - and it certainly works. This probably the only Mediterranean holiday I have had where I had no insect bites at all.

Everything you want from a hotel is there. The staff are unfailingly cheerful and always available. Caterina gave us a very detailed breakdown of the island with frank and helpful recommendations of restaurants, walks, trips and general information. Victor looks after his pool area as if it were a child. He is always on hand to open an umbrella, move a table, bring drinks, fish a leaf out of the pool and generally tidy the already immaculate garden. Despina has a great sense of humour and we loved her Greek lessons! She even gave us her mobile phone number to call in an emergency and I can't think of many hoteliers who would do that.

We actually tried to extend our holiday, it was so good. We managed to find some later flights but unfortunately (and not surprisingly) Despina was fully booked so we couldn't stay on and we didn't want to go anywhere else. So give yourself a treat, stay here!

My partner and I stayed at the Anastasis at the end of June for a week and have never experienced such a fantastic hotel, staff and natural beauty. Everything about this place (apart from the terrifying taxi rides) is perfect. Despina, her husband, Victor and especially Katerina made our trip so easy, relaxing and romantic with their suggestions and recommendations of places to eat/see etc and it was refreshing to be told also where not to go. The rooms and facilities are beautifully finished and beyond clean, the food which is all freshly prepared is lovely and extremely well priced. But nothing can beat the views from the hotel which are the best we experienced on the Island.
We loved everything about our trip and would definately urge any couple to visit and we cannot wait to return.

We were there a few weeks ago and had an amazing time. Despina (the owner) has enormous love for, and pride in her place. You are instantly received with a warm welcome by Despina and Katerina who explain all of the hotel’s amenities and give you tips on how to enjoy Thira from a local’s point of view. Despina, an architect, designed the hotel with a sense of space that evokes simplicity and serenity. Nowhere is this more apparent than at the pool area where water, wood and stone coexist to provide an idyllic stage to admire the beauty of the caldera. This area is kept in impeccable condition by Victor who meticulously and resolutely tends the space as if it were a Japanese Zen garden. Victor is also responsible for serving guests their welcome champagne and the most incredible en suite breakfasts. He is always courteous and even though he appears to be very serious he bears a very friendly soul. The rooms are impeccable and capture a sense of tradition. The Jacuzzi area is quite sumptuous and is only available by reservation so that it can be enjoyed privately.
Our journey was complete when we met Anastasis, Despina’s son, a wonderful boy who was surprised to hear he was famous! In essence Despina welcomes you to her home, and you will be treated at all times as a guest of honor.
