Just returned from a trip to Las Vegas. I have been there numerous times, and I still enjoy it tremendously. I am not a gambler, but there is so much to do and see in Las Vegas aside from gambling. I just love watching the fountains (dancing water shows) at the Bellagio. The fountains seem to dance to music (there is a large variety of songs) every 15 minutes after dark until midnight. The Bellagio also has a Conservatory/Botanical Gardens area just past the check in desk. Every season is brought to life with flowers, plants, trees, bridges, gazebos, and water effects. It is absolutely beautiful! I would also recommend going to the Paris Hotel and going to the top of the Eiffel Tower (just across the street from the Bellagio) and enjoying a view of the Las Vegas strip at night. You can also see the Bellagio fountain shows from the Eiffel Tower as well. The inside of the Paris Hotel is really pretty - looks like Paris in the eating/shopping area. Be sure to go to the Venetian Hotel and ride a gondola in the water canal. It is beautiful inside the Venetian! For a look at all of Las Vegas from approximately 900 ft, you need to go to the top of the Stratosphere Hotel. There are also several rides on top of the Stratosphere. For more roller coasters and amusement rides, visit the Sahara, New York New York, and Circus Circus. When at New York New York, be sure to go to the bridge outside that connects New York New York to the MGM Hotel. From that bridge you get a great view of the Las Vegas strip as well. Don't forget to check out the M & M store (offering 4 floors of merchandise) located just steps from the MGM Hotel. Just off of the strip (behing Bellagio) is the RIO Hotel. It offers "free" shows in which multiple men and women sing and dance. It takes place every hour on the hour from 6pm until midnight Thursday through Sunday in the middle of the casino area. Each show is different and is very entertaining. Don't take a trip to Las Vegas without visiting the downtown casinos. They are located on Freemont street which is covered by a canopy of light bulbs. At night (every hour on the hour until midnight) those bulbs become a light show accompanied by music. It is called the "Freemont Experience, and it is spectacular. If you are into shopping, Las Vegas is the place for you. Across the street from theTreasure Island Hotel (which has a 'free" show out front of the hotel in which pirate ships fight) there is an enormous shopping mall. Ceasar's also offers enough shopping to fill an entire day. The Bellagio and the Venetian offer many upscale shops. For nightly entertainment, Las Vegas offers a huge variety of nightclubs and shows. There is something for every adult in Las Vegas - even if you are not a gambler.
