just got back from 12 days/nights in vegas. it is the most unreal place i have been to, it takes about a full day to get your bearings. then day and night become one. when inside the hotels you have no way of knowing if its day or night it really is a 24 hour city. several time we found ourselfs eating evening meals at 3 in the mornin. so much to see and do but yet one of the most relaxinf holidays i have had as there is no real time restrictions on when do things. can recomend Pink jeep tours.
only one down side at night the people with the hooker cards standing on the streets they push them in to peoples hands who then drop them on the ground, but these are all gone by the morning. truly a great place to visit you don't have to be a gambler to have fun here.

We have passed the time when Vegas is getting more personality. Wynn and the other recently added monster casinos are all cut out of the same cloth. Seen one big shell of a building, seen them all. Vegas is fast becoming boring. Look to NY, NY; Paris; Venetian and one sees at least something trying to be inviting. If I want to see big impersonal buildings and similar atmosphere inside. I can go to the Real NY, NY or Chicago.

Luckily, there is still lots to do in the city, but the little casinos that used to offer relief and a change of pace are almost gone from the strip. The downtown area should be checked out by everyone for a change of pace. We spent time downtown on our recent June trip. It was more like a big party down there, and we didn't even have to set foot in the casinos. The casinos there do offer the way it used to be in Vegas. Fun, personality among the staff and gamblers, and good values abound in these casinos.

The Burger Bar had above average burgers. The fries and onion rings were below average and the service was not that great.

Las Vegas is made of great hotels, gives the impression of outstanding luxury, aims at having you gamble, eat, attend shows, gamble, attend shows, have a drink and do it all over again. And there is a lot to allow you to do it again and again.

Unfortunately, we saw many parents with kids : there is no mention of baby sitters for those who went there with kids! LV is not for families. Great hotels. nice shops, luxury boutiques, great shows, many types of good restaurants and buffets. However, count 3 days and you saw it all.

NOTE , the Deuce (the bus that drives the strip) is certainly an easy way to avoid the heat but it is incertain as the stop mentionned on a microphone are 90% already passed by the time the bus stops.

A cab from the airport = the fees for 2 people using a shuttle. Be aware. If you did not see LV, go. It's worts visiting and enjoy.

My husband and I (both 30) went to Vegas for the first time during Spring Break. I dont know why we waited so long to go. We loved it. Just a few tips....Do not rent a car, the traffic is so bad. It is quicker to walk. Buy the 24 hour bus pass. The bus takes a while to get from one side of the strip to the other but if you have had too much to drink or just too tired from sightseeing it is worth it. it is definitely good for a trip to Freemont Street. There is not much to see past the fashion show mall. We never walked past TI and the Palazzo but when we took the bus to Downtown the north side of the strip looked old and worn down. We stayed at the Mirage and it was the best hotel out of all the hotels we saw and we walked through most of them on the strip. Lots of things to do that dont cost anything. The pirate show at TI and the Bellagio fountains are really good .There is also the Lion Habitat at MGM. And of course the Volcano at the Mirage can not be missed it is awsome. If you go Pure in Cesars Palace during the day they will give you free passes to get in. This is where the Pussy Cat Dolls Lounge is. So much to say about Vegas so if you have any questions just ask.
