This was our 3rd time to Vegas, but our 1st time staying downtown. It was awesome, and fun. The parking was fine, but the bellmen were not much help. We got there at 930pm Vegas time, after a 20 hour car ride, and had to wait about 20 min to check in. But once we started checking in, it was fast service. The next day we had out a do not disturb sign, indicating that we didnt want maid service, yet they came in anyway...I hate when that happens. The pool is fabulous. Thought it would be warmer considering the temps in Vegas, but it was pretty cool water. Sunset is amazing to catch from the rooftop pool deck, right as its closing-> (8pm everyday, another disappointment) But the restaurant in the dome overlooking the fremont street experience was awesome. Great service, food is great too. A little pricey, but okay. Gambling though, I'd have to say was the best I've ever had. Great odds, and Ive never won anything, and I walked away profiting at least $250, not much, but enough to make me happy. But overall, I was more satisfied on this Vegas trip than any other. The Plaza is a great place to stay. and there breakfast lunch and dinner buffet are nice and not pricey. I would recommend this to anyone that wishes to stay in downtown Las Vegas..the light show is the main attraction downtown. The Plaza also has a sister hotel right across the street called the Las Vegas Club, the rooms are supposed to be the same, but the prices are slashed, and you still get to enjoy The Plaza's swimming pool and stuff, but the Plaza rooms were priced very nicely...Fourth of July weekend, 2 rooms, for 3 nights, for just under $300....SCORE
