“Excalibur a pleasant experience”

My Wife and I ended up at the Excailbur because our original hotel the MGM overbooked us and sent us there.
With little recourse we regretfully checked into the Excalibur. We were given a nice room with king size bed in a recently remodeled part of the hotel.
My wife became ill soon after arriving and the hotel staff was excellent in providing us information and directions for her to get proper attention.
Even though it was not our first choice to stay in,I would readily recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay there.
Hotel staff gets a high rating and hotel atmosphere and cleanliness are top notch as I saw it.
Location to other hotels and attractions was very convenient.

I thought I'll give my girlfriend a surprise vacation to vegas and booked this hotel as part of it, and it turned out to be the worst part.
The rooms look like any Motell 6 rooms, there's NO grandeur at all, and I was wondering why I should pay $175 a night for this.
Terrible terrible place. Took the sheen out of our whole trip, because the moment we stepped into the room, we were downcast,
The food in the restaurants is bad, the ambience terrible, and it looks like this casino belongs in mississippi and not vegas.
HIGHLY AVOIDABLE.

This is the worst Hotel in Vegas. . .well, I guess Circus-Circus is slightly worse, but its a close second! First off, the parking area was so far from the actual Hotel, and there were no luggage racks to haul all our stuff. So we walked seriously like half a mile or more with about 10 bags hanging on us. We have two small children and I thought they were going to die from heat stroke after the long walk. Then everything is so poorly marked and the Hotel map is horrilbe. We couldnt even figure out how to get in the place, and we had to ask one of the millions of staff members who were outside smoking, but knew NOTHING!! It is a casino, so noise is of course to be expected. But this place is insane. As I mentioned, only Circus-Circus is slightly worse!
As you walk through the Hotel you are stopped every 5 seconds with someone trying to sell you timeshare or ketchup popsicles or some ridiculous offer! Our room had a great view of a giant wall! And speaking of walls, ours was paper thin! We could hear every word of every person within 100 feet down the hall. Although you can tell they are trying really hard to go with the whole medevil theme, the rooms are very drab and BROWN. The carpet looks about 20 years old and there are stains on the walls and floors. The Buffet was ok, but overrated.
This is not a Hotel for anyone who considers themself even slightly classy. The only reason we stayed there was because we thought our kids would get a kick out of staying at a so called "castle". Please, I beg of you, stay somewhere else.
Next time, its Bellagio or bust for us!!

My girlfriend and I just returned from a trip in Vegas. We stayed a week, and expected to stay in the Hotel all week.

We left after one night.

This place was a joke. This is the hotel version of trailer park living. Within 30 seconds of entering the building we knew something was wrong; Very wrong.
The lobby smelled STRONGLY of Cigarette smoke, and the decor was all cigarette-smoke stained. It was almost as if the place was coated in a light brown film..Vile, truly vile.

The rooms were all dark, dingy, and had the same filmy coating that we noticed in the lobby. There is no tub, and the bathroom had a faint smell of flatulance that persisted throughout our short stay
The food was at best average, and although it was not expensive..why pay ANYTHING for food you don't like.

Finally, and by far the most offensive thing was the other "guests"..this seems to be THE place to go for the lower income, obese, loud Midwesterners. From Grandpa at the crap table that pulled out his teeth while at the table to the thousands of children dressed in dirty clothes running around EVERYWHERE..be prepared to "Low Brow" America up close and in your face

Yes, the place is cheap. But VALUE has more to do with JUST cost. I always thought if you had to travel "on the cheap"(at least at the level of this hotel) Why bother going?

We stayed in budget hotels throughout vegas and this was pretty much hostel rather than hotel quality as far as rooms go. We were expecting it as we got a great deal off their website that included food and gambling vouchers so in reality our stay proberly cost us next to nothing but Only do it if you really can't afford anything else!
Manpower australia wandering the foyer of an afternoon made it bearable though!
