The casino was nice, but the rooms were not too great. Very basic - no coffee maker, etc. The beds were sagging in the middle with wear and were noisy. Would not reccomend with children.

My sisters and I with our families stayed here on July 9th for one night. The parking was horrible we were stuck in valet traffic for about 30 minutes. We were in Tower 1 3rd floor. I requested our rooms to have a pool view starting on the 4th floor which we did not get. The check in line was very long so I decided to do self check in. It was great no problems, the keys even came out of the machine. We got to our room and it smelled musty, and it was very dark in there. The beds were ok. The room is very out dated. I like the fact they had a security guard posted by the elevators you had to show your room key to get on the elevators. The room was large. The kids enjoyed the pool which was very large but only 3 feet deep. The location of the hotel was great. The food was medicore and very expensive. It costs a family of four 19.95 a person to eat breakfast there. IT did not take long to check out and the valet was faster getting our car out. We probably wil not stay there again.

JUNE 26, 2006 vacation with grandchildren (ages 3 and 9) for 3 nights. Room was in Tower 1 on 23rd floor with view of MGM. The hotel was great for children. I would suggest saying in Tower 1 because it is very quiet. Tower 11 is where the pool location and it seem to be very crowded with traffic. The room was adequate with twin beds and the bathroom was large with shower only (problem for the little one) but she managed.
Room service and housekeeping was great; no problems at all. The children loved the pool because it is only 3 feet and very large with a water slide which they loved. We went to the pool around 3 when it was cooler. They supplied pool towels. Great location where you can take off to MGM, New York, New York due to the walkway. Took to double decker bus which was fun also to Circus Circus. Saw the Lion at MGM and the sharks at Mana Bay (little pricey..but enjoyable). The roundtable buffet is not great, but only eat there twice for the children's breakfast and dinner. Eat at the food courts. The activities for the children is great especially the Knights dinner. The food was very good and you are served an entire Cornish Hen. If you have a small child (1,2, 3,4) and they can sit in your lap, do not purchase a ticket. The show was great and I highly recommend.
Our stay was good at the hotel and this is my 2nd trip, the first with kids. Good for Kids.

We stopped at the Excalibur for one night on our way home, on June 27, 2006. Our room was clean and spacious, but the hallway on our floor smelled like a dirty diaper. We ate at the buffet, and it was ok, but not great for the price. French toast was hard as concrete. There are signs all over the casino saying "no one under 21 allowed in the gaming area", but when I asked security how we could get to the food area without taking our small children through the casino, I was told that we would have to take them through the casino to get to the elevators/escalators. That makes a lot of sense! We didn't use the 2 pools, but they appeared clean and spacious. All in all, our stay was just ok, and I would probably not stay here again.
