My family and I stayed at the Excalibur from June 23, 2006 to June 26, 2006. It was a good deal. I took my sister 57 years old and a 21, 18 and 15 year old. All enjoyed the Hotel. It was clean and the staff was nice. I had read many weeks of the previous reviews and was prepared for some things that might otherwise have upset me. I stayed on the 18th floor of tower 1. The view was very nice, especially at night. The bar soap was very small but I was prepared and had brought bar soap from home. The teenagers ate at the fast food places in the hotel (their choice) my sister and I ate at the buffet. I enjoyed the buffet. I have been to many buffets in Vegas and it was good choices for the money. I was also not as crowded as the other buffets I had attended on previous stays in Las Vegas. I bought the power pass which was a good deal. We did everything we wanted to from the power pass in one day. I purchased it at the stratophere on the second floor. The power pass can be purchased for 1 day up to 5 days. It has many attractions that are included for the price of $62.00 per person. My sister is a Trekkie so she was very happy with the Star Trek Experience. The Teens enjoyed it all. They were especially happy with Madame Tussades. I was surprised the family was not more impressed with the forum shops in Caesars but they thought it just so/so. I was just blown away the first time I saw it. I had took them there to experience a 4D ride that used to be there but apparently "The Race to Save Atlantis" has been discontinued. I was not happy with the transportation. We used the trolley, It is $2.00 or $5.00 for a whole day pass. But it stops at every hotel. The last time I was in Vegas about 6 years ago it was free. The seats are uncomfortable. We also bought daily passes for the duece bus. It is supposed to run every 7 minutes. But actually waited about 40 minutes to go back to the hotel on one ocassion. The bus is also very crowded. (I personally liked the old bus system better). I also noted that there would be 2 buses coming at the same time. Several time when we were pressed for time I would just get a cab. But continuously hopping in cabs is expensive. I also wanted to mention that the new "Sirens of Ti" outdoor show is just silly. The old pirate show was much better. I didn't bring little children but I don't think it was appropriate for them. (They were many, many children in the audience though.
