My husband and I got married in Las Vegas back in October and decided to stay at The Mirage-- I am really glad we did. The Mirage isn't really a 'themed' hotel which is nice, and it is def. an upscale but affordable hotel. I feel like this hotel is great if you want something nice but can't afford the more expensive ones like Bellagio, Wynn, or Venetian.

Everything was nice and clean, upscale, along with a nice lobby with a giant aquarium behind check in. There is a zoo and a dolphin habitat which we went to and saw a baby dolphin--so cute! Rooms are average size and remodeled and clean. Everything looks new and fresh with a modern twist.

Also the location is wonderful--strip access is good, you just walk down 1/2 block to get to the street and then you are right across from The Venetian, next to Ceasars and Treasure Island. If you want to eat cheap there is a Mcdonalds, Panda Express and Chipote across the street.

My husband & I traveled to Las Vegas with 3 other couples to celebrate my birthday.
Our flight landed at 9;00 am and we were afraid that we would not be able to check into our rooms. That was not the case, we all got our rooms including 1 couple that was upgraded to a suite.
We were also on the waiting list for a cabana but because our friends were upgraded they were given priority and we were able to rent one for the day. It was in the shade but offered plenty of sun for those who wanted to tan. It had water misters, ceiling fan, flat screen TV (guys could watch golf), fridge stocked with water,
soda, cheese platter, fruit platter & assorted otther goodies. The wait staff was wonderful as well. We were able to order drinks & food & they brought it right to us.
The cabana rental is well worth the $$ if you are with a group. The pool is really big & they have thousands of chairs but it is packed! The chance of us getting 8 chairs together was really slim. Their is music playing & alot going on, probably not a real good place for children :)
Our rooms were very nice as well. Very clean & nicely updated. It had a nice closet with in room safe & iron/board. Flat screen TV, iPod dock and plenty room to unpack if you chose to do so. Our room was decorated better than our friends that had the suite. (they must not have gotten to the suites for renovations yet). We had a great view of the pool & part of the strip.
We ate at the California Pizza Kitchen, BLT Burger & Japonais....they all were very good.
We were pleasantly surprised that the casino was not as smoky as it has been in the past. Most people were playing table games, very few at the slots!

We had dinner at Delmonico (Venetian) one night & were very disappointed and saw "O" at the Bellagio. The acrobatics & water illusions were fantastic but was alittle "out there" for us.
Had a great time at Coyote Ugly (NewYork NewYork), good music & great energy.
The guys golfed at Royal Links & had a great time.

On arrival we were informed that we had been upgraded to another room.Wow what a room and a bottle of champers for inconveniance....no inconvenience for me.Anyway although a huge hotel and a very very busy one we had a great time.We gambled a little and drank a little and used the buffet and the California pizza as our food places.Centrally located its easy to get around so would have no hesitation in using this hotel again or to recommend to others.Pool was also second to none.

My daughter and I found the Mirage nice and comfortable but because we were there over Memorial Day weekend they couldn't upgrade us when we checked in. Didn't take us long to check in, quite a hike from the desk to the elevators and rooms. Had to change rooms after first nite because of a leak to the next floor down from our bathroom which was fine but they didn't suggest to upgrade then either. Overall though it was a good stay and quiet all the time we were in the room. If you like being close to everything on the strip, good place to stay, right in the thick of things.

Spent 3 night at the Mirage in Vegas. check in was a breeze. I was not ready however for the walk thru the smoke infested casino. glad to see they check your room key before letting you on the elevators. The room was extremely nice and very clean bed comfortable, but OH MY GOD the door slaming at all hours of the night was a huge huge problem seems to me they could have put some sort of device on the door to stop this.
And just when are they going to make the casinos no smoking I feel very sorry for the people who work there People bring there babies there what are they thinking..
Loved Bette Midler!!!!!!!!
