Stayed here 1 - 4 oct 2004. Room was large and clean and tidy, so what about the small bathrooms they did the job! Ate at the Onda Italian restaurant. I forgot to ask for non smoking area and they did not ask when I booked - ended up in a smoking area - only realised half way through dinner - spoilt my meal and could not get out fast enough. Food OK. Lobby area was amazing. This hotel is situated in the middle of ths strip, great for visiting the main attractions. Would stay here again.

“Very worth the money”

Just got back from Mirage, Las Vegas. Stayed Friday-Sunday in a tower suite. The price was steep but the experience was very well worth it!
The room was absolutely amazing, almost twice the size of my apartment! Bathroom is awesome and the bathrobes they give you are the most heavenly things on earth! We only went to the pool once during the afternoon, so I can't say anything about crowds, but the pool was nice.
We ate at Moongate, it was very good, prices a little high, but other than that I enjoyed it. Didn't get a chance to eat at the Buffet, but heard good things.
The staff was amazing from the second we checked in, providing us with free passes to clubs at Bellagio and TI ($20 cover each...helps out alot to have VIP passes!)
Also, the limo to and from the airport that was included with the room was awesome, really makes you feel like somebody special.
In closing, I have one final recommendation to make this trip perfect: ROOM SERVICE! It was very expensive, so the night before we ate budget so that we could splurge for breakfast. The food was VERY good and takes about 45 minutes to get to your room but SO worth it. They set the table and included 6 types of jellies, butters, biscuits, etc.... even put flowers on the table for you. We ate in our robes, it was like out of a movie :0).
The staff was very friendly and the hotel is really gorgeous. Definitely recommended.

Having visited Las Vegas many times, the Mirage continues to be my favorite hotel/casino. Beautiful interior and exterior design. Very friendly and courteous employees. Wonderful casino. Simply the best of all hotel/casinos in the US.

Last week my wife and I traveled to Las Vegas and Arizona for two weeks. We stayed at the Mirage for five nights. The pool was great with its waterfalls, hot tub was in the shade and seperate from the pool. There was also a small pool for kids with a slide as well. If you go there make sure you get to the pool to claim your chairs before breakfast, by 9am. If not you will be hard pressed to find a decent spot to sit. There is a nice place to eat breakfast of lunch called the Paradise Cafe. I recommend a ceasar salad with schrimp on top.
The room rates were between $99.00 and $159.00 depending on what night it was. Friday and Sat. are premium rates. I was disappointed that as guests we could not see Danny Gans show but bought the VHS tape at their store called Impulse. The show also is showed on a t.v. just before you go out to the pool, the cost is $20.00. The location of the Mirage is great since it is accross from the Venetian and next to Planet Hollywood and Ceasar's Palace.
We found that the prices were too rich for our blood with the mini bar in the room. Bottled water was $4.00 and 10 oz. soda was $2.75. Their restaurants were also very expensive with entrees in the $20. to $36.00 range. Their was a nice band playing in the lounge which was free. I was also disappointed that guests at Mirage had to pay $12.00, just like everyone else for the dolphin show. We passed on that. We had a great meal at the Hard Rock Cafe and also toured the Hoover Dam. We also took a helicopter ride over the dam for $120.00 and stayed at the hotel near the dam that had a nice pool for $49.00 a night. I beleive it was called the Hacinenda. We did see Skin Tight and Follies Bregere, the later were free tickets for viewing the Grand Chateau and free tickets to a nice buffett at the Tropicana.
The weather was great in the 90's with one day going down to 78 degrees. Make sure you pack a good pair of sneakers since their is much walking to do.

“Great hotel - crowded pool”

We found the hotel and room to be clean and in an excellent location. We considered the New York hotel but glad we didn't because it is too far along the strip. Mirage location allows you to walk to TI, Bellagio and Venetian very easily which is handy when the temperatures are in the high-nineties.
Check in staff were not very friendly as it was so busy but the guy who brought the cases was very helpful (although as a cynical Englishman I assume he was just after a good tip).
Only disappointment was the pool. If you like lying in a line with your lounger touching the strangers next to you then the Mirage pool is for you. In late September when we were there, it was very crowded and rather spoilt the intended tropical island theme. By about 3pm, at least half of the sunbeds are in the shade so if you want a tan, you need to get out there in the morning. We managed to get a sunbed at about 2pm most days but I like a little space around me (it didn't seem to bother the Americans).
The buffet was excellent (as good as the over rated Bellagio) and the Brazilian restaurant was excellent too.
Drink service was slow to the machines and tables but maybe I just wasn't tipping enough!
An impressive hotel with the tigers and the aquariam in the lobby, we really liked the Mirage. Not sure why guests should have to pay to visit the Sectret Garden ($12) - surely there should be concessions for guests.
The atrium is nice and the hotel is kept to a high standard - having said our grumbles about the pool etc, I would recommend this hotel.
