As a friend put it, "Not as polished as it use to be when Steve Wynn owned it." We arrived by shuttle from the airport & were ignored by the bellhops (bad omen). As others have said, dragging your suitcases through a smokey casino to the elevator was no less than a pain in the rear end. The ajoining room to our Tower suite for an accompanying couple was modest to say the least. The TV in the bedroom wouldn't raise out of its cabinent and after 2 calls we gave up. $3.75 for a soda from the wet bar, come on give me a break, we paid about $600/night. And apparently we didn't pay enough for their "Royal Treatment" to have fresh flowers, as we were told! The jets for the jacuzzi at pool side didn't work & forget assistance. The Dollar car rental agent in the lobby was an idiot, but that's another story. I do have to say, definitely go see the Love show. It was unbelievably fantastic. i think our seats on the 2nd level were better than below for viewing all that goes on & they were less expensive. See the show but skip staying there.

  • Liked — The show we saw.
  • Disliked — Their attitude that we were lucky they let us stay there.

After making reservations at the Monte Carlo, we had to switch hotels due to the fire. We chose to move to the Mirage. I asked if they would honor the 150.00 less on my bill that i would have to pay at the Monte Carlo. Lady at front desk disappeared, brought a piece of paper with a number and said I'd have to take it up with whoever this # belonged to. She acted annoyed that we even asked. Every night there were people running through my hallway, people banging on the door to their room yelling to let them in, and then a couple of guys 4 doors down that I could hear there converstion in my room from theirs. I called
security at which they sent a woman up to deal with these 3 or 4 guys (yea right)!! They left just as loud as they came (after midnight). Yes we were there to work primarily not to party, so we were in bed by midnight. At 5 a.m. they came back just as loud and pissed in the hallway. Every one let there doors slam and you can hear conversations through the walls. Way to noisy for any rest , won't stay here again--- going back to Harrahs-- at least they are friendly.

  • Disliked — too noisy , room access at very back of hotel through the casino

Where do I start? With the holes in the bed sheets or the frayed towels or the guy at the player's club desk that didn't give [--] when we said we didn't enjoy our stay?
The cigarette smoke really got to us in the casino this time. When I've been there before the air conditioning was on, so maybe there's better circulation with the a/c. But the slot machines were also really dirty and many of the buttons didn't light up or work properly.
The restaurants in the hotel were almost completely 5 star, high end and extremely expensive. Only 1 restaurant, California Kitchen, was not extremely expensive, but the food was barely average.
And the service! Not just at the Mirage, but everywhere in Vegas, no one gave good service. The only good meal we had during the entire trip was at the Outback Steak House.
Our other complaint was they closed the hot tubs at the pool at 4pm so we could be in the casino losing money. People just getting out of their convention meetings didn't have a chance to enjoy the jacuzzi.
There was only 1 location for elevators in the hotel, in the centre of the 3 wings of the hotel. So if your room was at the end of the wing, you had a really long hike to your room.
The room had a notice that said in order to help save the environment, they would only change your sheets everyday if you called down to the desk. After seeing that absolutely nothing in Las Vegas gets recycled, I think the sheet thing is a crock and only about helping their bottom line.
We really didn't feel welcome or that they appreciated our business at all.

  • Liked — Middle of the strip.
  • Disliked — Was geared entirely to the utterly rich.

Stayed at Mirage for conferences twice in Jan.

Hotel is in the mid stream cat. Not tacky low end not stylish high end like Wynn. Both times they didn't give me the room preference I had booked. This is normal in my experience. What you are supposed to do is push back and, if they think they can ,they will sell you an upgrade. They didn't do it here - they offered me a room change day2 on first trip and found room i wanted on second trip.

Beds are comfortable and room clean - standard fare for LV. I hear that they start to upgrade rooms this month. But the rooms were not past it.

At the hotel The beatles bar (Revolution) is good fun. The chinese restaurant excellent. The Japanese not bad. The Italian is not good and there are lots better. The carribe for breakfast is dire.
Go to the Wynn at night great outside bar and very stylish hotel. I want to stay there.
Mystere show at TI was not very good - still think O show is best.
if you get tired of Vegas I thoroughly recommend trip to Grand Canyon. Take the one with a plane to canyon, then helicopter to bottom and then raft on river. A fantastic experience.

This was a gift from my Husband from Christmas. We were there from 1/25-1/28 and had a great time. We requested a king non-smoking and got it! Very clean room, the view wasn't that good but we could see the mountains. Our first night they delivered champagne and 2 flutes to our room. Great showers, and the maid service was good. My only complaint was that the casino was really tight. That meaning no big winnings and not much luck. No $5.00 tables on anything. The foood there was very expensive though. We found our best meal at Treasure Island,(you catch a tram that runs between the two casonos) and go to Kahunaville and their breakfast is great price and really good food! Now to really brag about something is the show at the Mirage....The Beatles tribute LOVE ...IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!! I would go again if I could, definitly buy the soundtrack at the LOVE store. A big hint is get your tickets on-line if you can or get them as soon as you get there. But it is truly one of the best shows I have seen there.
