We stayed at the Sahara in March as part of a package holiay and LA, grand Canyon and Las Veags. This hotel was at the top of the strip and it took about 20-30 mins to walk right into the middle of the strip. However I would use the metro and buy a long ticket as you really get your moneys worth. The rooms are ok ours was a basic room but we didn't go to vegas to stay in the hotel room! The pool is really nice and you have to go on the ride there which you can see whilst your sat by the pool. Would recommend this hotel and is great to get your head down in Vegas!

My sister and I went to Vegas for a quick 3 day trip. We didn't want to spend alot on a hotel but wanted a clean, safe place to stay. The Sahara was perfect for us. We arrived 2 hours before check-in but the friendly staff accomadated us and we were shown to our room immediately. The room did show some wear but it was clean, spacious and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the a/c worked great. We ate burgers in the bar and mine was one of the best I've ever eaten. The casino was much fun and the machines were much more friendly (Pay-Outs) than those on the strip. The Sahara is a ways up from the main action but with the monorail it is so easy to get around. If you are looking for a high luxury hotel with many fancy details, the Sahara probably is not for you. If you are like me and are looking for a clean, safe, friendly enviorment, than you will love the Sahara. I know that this is the only place I will stay when going to Vegas.

Family vacation so we booked 3 rooms total.Stayed in tangier tower only problem we faced was slow draining water and 2 lamps didnt work, other than that we were very satisfied and happy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cant wait for my next vegas vacation!!!!

I was disappointed with the check-in (more than an hour), the room and the buffet. The hotel is a good deal but it is dated. I believe that it dates back to 1952 unfortunately, the property has not been maintained. The pool and the cafe called "The Grind" were the shining stars of the hotel. Also, the rollercaster did look like fun but I didn't try it.
