When we arrived at the hotel, we were a little turned around. The construction behind and around makes it difficult to find the entrance. We were able to park right in front of the entrance once we figured it out, free, which was rare. Walked right up to the front door, waited in line for 2 minutes, and checked in early. Got a room where we requested as well but had to settle with two queens, which we were fine with. View wasn't amazing, but room was nice. Appreciated that the elevators to the rooms were right near check in, didn't have to parade through the casino with luggage in hand. Plenty of options at the food court and a gift shop right at the front as well. When it was time to hit the pool we were happy to see it also was towards the front and there was no need to walk through the casino to get to it.
Pool was crowded as others have stated, but we went down around 1:30 and that's peak pool time. Had a great time in the lazy river and wave pool, and second day we also relaxed at the adult pool which was nice. Adult pool is mostly in the shade until about 3:00 though. Appreciated the lack of too cool hipsters, but still a decent crowd. Casino was easy to navigate and as stated by others, lacked the smoky smell. The steak house there is really good, as is the Japanese noodle house that serves excellent sushi. Other than that we hit the food court once and went across the street the other day. The construction was the only downfall really. It's not terribly loud, but it's definitely there. Monday night we got a nice dose of it around midnight, guess in Vegas nobody sleeps. I was smart though and brought earplugs. Seemed to help a little bit, but didn't drown it out completely. I slept fine though. We will definitely visit again, once the construction is complete.
Oh and beware of certain ladies behind the sports book counter, check your ticket before you walk away. My boyfriend lost some cash because she entered his picks incorrectly. Not a large amount, but $150 isn't a small amount either. He said she seemed to be lost, and questioned his picks 2 or 3 times, then it appeared she had gotten it together, apparently not. Other than that, checkout was easy, car was still parked nicely right in front free of charge. Easy in, easy out, but beware of construction noise and ditzy ladies at the sports book.
