We arrived in Las Vegas @ 12:30 P.M. As we checked in we were told our two rooms may be ready as early as 3:00 P.M. but for sure by 5:00 P.M. After a few phone calls to check with housekeeping about our rooms they were finally ready right at 5:00 P.M.There was a room service tray in the hallway in front of room 19-126 for four of our five night stay. People starting using it for a dump site leaving small bits of trash as they would walk by. Every time I passed the area chicken nuggets were being kicked around to different locations of the hallway. On one occasion the valet attendant brought someone the wrong car.How can a slot machine that starts out with an even amount of coins, such as a roll of quarters, and pays in even money, such as 2 coins, or 4 coins, for example, leave me with an odd amount of coins in the pay tray?I pay good money for casino stays, 2 rooms X 5 nights, I expect to at least have a clean stay where employees care about their workplace.

We were in vegas for memorial day weekend, stayed four days, and got married in the wedding chapel. Upon arrival found the taxi/valet areas to be laid out really well, taxi's drop off in the back of the building, and pick up in the front which made it a lot less hectic than other hotels where they try to cram both in to the same area. Check in went smooth, and checked out through an interactive check out process through the t.v. in the room which was really nice. Stayed in a run of the house room that was clean, and pretty nice, nothing overly fancy. one thing that was wierd was there is no fan in the bathroom, so when we took showers the room got humid and stayed that way through most of the day. We went to the pool every day and it was great. They have a wave pool, a regular swimming pool, and a lazy river pool that floats you around in a big circle. the pool side drink service is nice, the daquiris came quick and cold. The wedding chapel is very warm feeling, and easy to find. The ladies that worked in the chapel are not overly friendly, and don't go out of their way to help or answer questions, but if asked to do or respond to something specific, they will oblige. Throughout the hotel the service and attitude of the employees was not friendly, or eager, and really nobody even smiles. But methodically they go about their business and get the job done. Only ate in one of the hotel restaurants, the brewery. It was a cool place to hang out, and the food is good too. Overall I would say the monte carlo is a middle of the road place, nothing overly fantastic about it, but certainly nothing wrong with it either. We stayed at the mirage las year and we did like the monte carlo better. We would stay at the monte carlo again, but I think first we will try a different place. P.S.- want to see a really funny show -- go to The Amazing Johnathon at the flamingo, hilarious adult only show!

If you like a "quiet" hotel (quiet being relative to the other hotels on the strip) without a need for the extravagant "tourist" attractions, Monte Carlo should be considered. Although probably not the best hotel for the first time visitor since you'll probably want to explore Las Vegas for the "over-the-top" atmosphere Las Vegas is known for, this hotel is very good for someone who has seen all the tourist attractions they need to see. The best part of the hotel is that you don't need to go through the casino to get to your car or go to the swimming pool.

The Monte Carlo Hotel offers the best of everything at an affordable price. Weeknight rates are as low as $49/night and go up on the weekends. However, don't let this low price fool you. This hotel and casino is no dive. It is beautiful! The casino is elegant and sophisticated (upscale all the way), there is a wonderful spa on the premises, the hotel rooms are newly remodeled, and the hotel offers many lovely shops and amenities such as concierge and show ticket sales. The Hotel offers an outdoor pool and mini waterpark with a lazy river and waterfalls (a very nice bonus). There are also several restaurants in the Monte Carlo hotel. They range from fast food (McD's, Sbarro's, Hagan Daaz) to a buffet restaurant to both formal and informal a la carte restaurants. There is also a brew house on the premises which has both entertainment (in the pm) and good food. The location of this 5* hotel cannot be beat. It is right next door to New York, New York. It also offer a quick tram ride directly to the Bellagio Hotel. This is very convenient because even though the Bellagio is only a block away, you can avoid walking on the street where there is nothing interesting to see along the way. It is across the street from the Alladin Hotel (which has a great buffet). From the Monte Carlo you can get to many of the top hotels (MGM Grand, NYNY, Alladin, Paris, Bally's, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, etc) on the strip very easily (walking distance). There is a CVS next to the hotel on the strip. You can purchase everything from toiletries, soft drinks, water, etc. to souveniers. This hotel offers an excellent value. Go to www.montecarlo.com and check out their promotions. Often they have specials which include free or discounted spa passes, shopping and dining coupons, etc. One warning, the rates on their website change frequently. If you see a better rate appear after ou have already made a reservation, just call their 800 number and they will rebook you at the lower rate. Often the best rates are for 2 double beds (vs one Kinpointed.

The casino is pretty, however, the beds are hard, and the rooms are noisy. There was a constant high-pitched sound all day and all night. The wave pool and lazy river pool are great. Staff is friendly.I will not stay here again. For the money, here are better places to stay.
