This was our third trip to the Venetian and this time we stayed in the new Venezia Tower. Each time we have stayed in either part of the Venezian we have had great service and lovely rooms, which is why I am surprised at the other reviews. We were really impressed and had a lovely room with a strip view, the room was very spacious with a separate living area, the bathroom in true Venetian style was luxurious. Each evening the maids turned down the bed and serviced the room with fresh towels. The chocolates left were also a nice touch. If you are looking to be spoilt stay at the Venezia!

“Honest Review”

CONS:
Beds are not comfortable, too soft!
Housekeeping: Checked in found plastic wrappers on couch, Roomservice left toothpase droppings on sink & cleaned around it, No conditioner-had to track someone down to get some.
Bar & Casino: layout is non condusive to relaz, gambling & drinking. Too much light, too stiff, Not enough casual Bars, Main bar layout is uptight.
Pool: Decent pool area but wanted something to eat at outdoor restaurant & was told that I had to pay cash as system was down. Girl said it happens all the time. I didn't eat because I dont carry cash to the pool, or drink. I cheched w someone else at outdoor bar & he confimed that charges couldnt be added to room. If its true that this happens often then a backup system is in need.
Toilet lever had to be manually lifted to stop water from running
PROS: I had one of the newer suites w 2 flat screen TVs & electronic window shades & blinds-very nice touch.
We ate at a few restaurants on site & food was above average. Nice canal shops with upbeat atmosphere.
Personel were all very friendly & accomodating. Dealers I found to be exceptionally friendly & cordial.. not overbearing & not dead!..just right.

Dollar for dollar I feel the quaility is not worth the cost. Ive paid 1 1/2 times more for a room at the Wynn & received a 5 star experience. Ive also paid more for the older bellagio & also rec a 5 star experience. Mirage for the lower cost is an excellent choice as well.. Tried the Aladdin & did not care to it however it is being renovated as we speak. Also tried MGM & that was like being in a zoo.
Venetian for 159.nite or less is worth it... in my opinion. hope Ive been of some help.

Our positive experience seems to differ from the recent negative reviews. As a family of 5 we're used to staying at all-suite hotels such as Embassy so maybe our standards are set by Embassy. Venetian suites are up to 50% larger than Embassy suites. They are renovating (even though the property is only 8 years old) all the rooms floor-by-floor while their new sister tower is being built so there was some construction noise. When we called to complain, they happily moved us even though they were sold out. The bellhop who assisted us with our room change brought us up to one of the renovated floors and I personally like the current renaissance look better. The new look is more modern in that "W" fashion I suppose. Anytime we requested anything (more towels, a coffee pot<--they do charge approx. $5 for this, for the length of stay, not per day), the items were brought up within 30 mins which I consider to be acceptable for a hotel this size. They had honored my request (made online when I had booked) for a strip view and the kids loved the pool. In our new room the alarm had been pre-set by the prior patron to buzz at 5:45 am and neither my husband nor I could figure out how to turn it off. On our last day I called about this and they removed our dining charge (of approx. $100) and the $10/day internet charges so I was appeased. We would stay here again as I believe that they addressed our concerns when issues arose.

My wife and I just returned from a weekend at Vegas staying in one the pricier (The Venician) hotels. ($400+/ night for 2). Generally a great experience. Be prepared to spend some $$. Resturants, food, very good.
The first night at the hotel we were awakened by the loud sound of something above our room. It sounded like someone dropping bowling balls, one at a time, on the floor above. It became quiet, then began a soft scratching sound on the ceiling above that seemed to move across the ceiling to random points, then silence. Ahh, back to sleep at last…BOOM, BOOM, BOOM and the process begins again…and again…and again. For 3 hours or more (I lost track). We decided maybe we should change rooms after we heard the same noises during the day. First, however, I decided to do some recon to the floor above. I pressed the button in the elevator to the floor above and …nothing. Pressed it again. Same result. Found a maintenance person on my floor and asked where are the stairs to the floor above. He asked if I was with the construction crew. I said no but thanks and headed for the front desk. When I arrived at the front desk there was a hotel customer screaming at the person behind the desk about the same problem.
Long story short: The hotel (after much badgering) finally agreed to let us have a room on the floor above the floor where the construction was taking place and credited us $100.
Question: Is it common practice for a hotel to do renovations while customers are staying in the hotel?

Enough staff to ensure a NO WAIT check in. Super friendly, smiling, and helpful staff everywhere! Not enough pool space for size of hotel, and extremely insulting management when you have a complaint. It seems the service staff knows more about customer service than management here: We had just fallen asleep at about 3 am (first night after exploring the strip) and were awakened at 7 am by VERY LOUD construction right above our heads on the floor above (hammering, tile demo) We pulled on some clothes and went down to talk to management about it, and the only compensation they could offer was a new room on a different floor away from construction, BUT IT WOULD NOT BE READY FOR SEVERAL HOURS!! (I just wanted some sleep so i could be well rested for our show and planned excursions later that day) Oh, and they told us we could have 40.00 to spend in the cafe while we waited! What an insult, coming from a hotel of this price and rating!! First, they don't warn us about the crack of dawn construction above our room, Secondly, they were not apologetic at all, and then they LIED to us, saying there was no other room availiable at the moment, because I said this is unacceptable and actually negotiated with the clerk for about 25 mins (as he continually went "in the back" to check with his manager to "see what he could do" It was like we were in junior high with him as a go between... After requesting to personally speak with this mystery manager 3 times, he finally appeared. And Oh my, suddendly there was a room availiable! I demanded a complimentary meal at one of the nicer hotel restaurants, and had to ask for baggage assistance to the "new room." Due to their dishonesty, lack of apology, and lack of concern about our comfort and expecting us to just hang out in the cafe in our pajamas and wait, or return to the construction zone noise, I thought a nice meal was a reasonable request, and at 600.00 a day, this is a drop in the bucket for them. Well, i even had to negotiate for that, but i stood my ground and got it!
We got our new room, but at this point could not fall back asleep so we were beat the rest of the day.....thought we might sleep by the pool, but not one single availiable cot, in fact, people were standing around waiting for cots others to leave. This is a huge hotel, they should have more pool space for the number of rooms! The lower end service staffs smiles and the service and food at Delmonaco Steakhouse made our stay here!
