We stayed in the Venetian Hotel in the new Venezia Towers from 5/9-5/12.

The service from start to finish was excellent. We were upgraded at check in to an awesome view without even asking. All staff members we encountered went out of their way to be friendly. We requested a refrigerator be brought o our room and it was within 5 minutes of checking in. This is complementary.

The rooms were absolutely stunning! The suites were huge. As you walk in the door a corridor greets you. The rooms are filled with extravagant decor. To the left was the bathroom complete with glass enclosed shower with additional shower jets. A large soaking tub and separate toilet room are inclusive. The bathroom is complete with granite counters.

The bed was very comfortable. Nice linens! Turndown service was included. They would also service the room at that time, taking any used towels and replacing them. They also would clean up the room so that it looked great when you were back in your room and ready for bed.

There is 2 TVs, 3 phones, fax machine, and CD player/alarm clock in room

Room service was definately worth the price. We ordered the international Cheese plate which was surprisingly very impressive! We purchsed a bottle of wine from the gift shop next to the Bouchon Restaraunt. We were going to order a second night however were very tired when we finally got back to our room.

Pool area/Venezia garden area was gorgeous and never really crowded. The hot tubs are available 24 hours.

There are guards which secure all of the room halls. You must show your room key in order to pass into the accomodation areas.

A few tips:
**Call ahead in the morning for Bouchon breakfast reservations.

**Taxi cabs do NOT like to pick up at the Venetian. We were informed this from every cab driver that we encountered. They pick up only when they are called or are dropping people off. We waited in the taxi line one time and had really no problem as there were many cabs around at that time picking up in the evening. The line was long but depleted rather quickly as the cabs continued to stream in. However when we were in need of a cab for our venture back to the airport there were at least 100 people in line and no cabs in sight!!!!!!!! Those people waited at least 45 minutes guaranteed!! Horrible......We had to carry our luggage across to the Mirage in order to get to the airport in a timely fashion!

**Gelato in the grand canal area...wonderful
**Grand Lux cafe cheap, good, quick.......LONG lines for breakfast
**Asia Noodle cheap, quick, good
We do enjoy fine dining but we were only in Vegas for 3 nights and already had shows scheduled LeReve, Mystere, Stevie Nicks and Papillon Helicopter Tour and Canyon Spa day. With this much packed into 3 nights it was hard to confine our scedule to restaraunt reservations so we found that it was best for us to just grab food when we were hungry.

All in All great trip and great hotel

We stayed from Sunday until Wendsday. The hotel is breathtaking and our room was wonderful. Our check in was fast and our counter clerk gave a free upgrade since it was our first time in Vegas. He directed us to shows and how to get around the best.
I just can't say enough good about this hotel. We vissited all the others and I don't know what the rooms looked like at the others but this one had the best lobby and casino by far. Very classy!!

“overall ok but a few major glitches”

BEAUTIFUL room, but here are a few of the things we encountered... blown breakers, shower with bad drainage, bottle cap on the floor next to end table, sticky coffee table, previous lodgers fax machine bill with their credit card number in the fax machine - and this was AFTER we waited 2 hours for our room to be prepared. HORRENDOUS service at the Mexican food restaurant in the canal. Sent a letter of complaint and their response was noncommittal.

We stayed at the Venetian for 2 weeks from 22 April to 06 May for our wedding and honeymoon. We chose a room in the Venezia tower after reading the comments on this site about how much better it is in this building and were glad we did. The Venezia tower is much quieter and more plush. We booked direct on their website and when we noticed a price drop, a phone call was all it took to adjust our booking to the new price. All of the staff were friendly and helpful amd we didn't come across any of the 'snootiness' earlier reviews mentioned.

The room had a couple of minor problems (a table lamp with a dead bulb and the make-up mirror bulb out). We just called Priority Service who dealt with it immediately. We also asked for a fridge (foc) for our room from the front desk on check-in which didn't arrive but was there within minutes of calling the Priority Service from our room phone. (Hint: Get the fridge and buy your drinks from the 'International News' shop on the 2nd floor - just as cheap as the strip shops and way cheaper than the 'don't move it or it's charged to you' minibar!)

The whole suite was immaculately cleaned each day and didn't look at all worn. Choccies on the bed at turn-down were a nice touch. I had taken a hair dryer as I'd read an earlier review mentioned that they didn't supply these, however I didn't need it since there was one supplied (maybe its just in the Venezia) which was good and powerful. No coffee making though!

The best restaurant for service and food was by far, Delmonico's Steakhouse. Book ahead for a table though! We were disappointed by Postrio, where we had booked our wedding dinner - both the food and the service wasn't as you would have expected from one of Wolfgang Puck's restaurants. New husband's a chef so perhaps we're fussier?! Breakfast at the Grand Cafe Luxe is well worth the $13 or so for the buffet. Get there early (i.e. before 8am) unless you don't mind queueing - although the queues seemed to move quickly.

The slots are supposedly one of the loosest of the strip hotels and we found this to be true! The Video Poker especially - and to be even more accurate the ones around the Occulus lounge. A couple next to us were dealt a $4000 royal flush on their second try and we only went away down a couple of times.

I can't understand the comments about the long distances you need to walk - we didn't find it especially far to go to anywhere but maybe we're used to walking. Yes, it's a big hotel but it's Vegas - everything is big!

The (main Venetian) pool was the only disappointment for us. Renovations were still going on during our stay and meant that a great part of the pool & deck was out of use. According to the leaflet in our room, the exceptionally wet winter delayed the finish date. There were not enough sunbeds for everyone and we watched a very entertaining argument between two guys, one of whom had though the other had been reserving a bed for someone (he hadn't, he was in the pool!). We didn't even bother to try to get to the small but very pretty Venezia pool area (10th floor) as, despite signs prohibiting this, sunbeds were reserved by towels/books even at 7am.

We'd definitely stay at the Venetian again and can't wait to return!

“The Wonder of It All!”

I was married at the Venetian Resort during the week of April 18. My experience was wonderful. The hotel is simply beautiful!! The fountains, chapel, grand shopping center and the many restaurants are more than enough to create fond memories.

My wedding planner was Angela Cooper. She was great! I forgot the wedding certificate ( A must have in Vegas), but no need to get upset, Angela went up to the room to get it and she was back before the music started.

Photographer and videographer were lots of fun. We laughed the entire time. They had a great sense of humor!!!

My husband and I are already planning to return to the Venetian this summer. I could go on and on about the resort but if I had to leave you with two words, they would be, FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!!

If your are planning to get married, the Venetian would be a great choice.
