We just spent 4 days at the Venetian and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room is a beautiful, 650 sq ft. tastefully decorated suite with a supremely comfortable pillow top king bed with a sunken living area with sectional couch and dining table. 3 flat screen TV's. The bathroom is all marble and the provided toiletries were top quality. The hall corridors from the elevators are not too long by Vegas standards. The room tower was quiet and elegant. The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous. The restaurant choices are amazingly diverse, 22, I think, in all. There were choices from inexpensive food courts to super luxe gourmet dining, something for every taste and budget. The shopping at the Grand Canal shoppes is great fun with lots of stores, not just super luxe ones. The strolling muscians, gondolas and Venice atmosphere makes for a delightful experience, even if one doesn't like shopping (like me). The casino at the Venetian is very busy and crowded, but the adjoing casino at the Palazzo is much quieter and more elegant. Having the choice is nice. There were lots of families with children staying and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely. We certainly did. There was so much to do and see at the Venetian, one could just stay there and not leave!

Two days after we stayed the Venetian/Palazzo announced massive employee layoffs. That explains some of the problems that we had. The rooms were still nice by any standards but some of the "small" things that the Venetian was once known for were no longer being done in the way they had been done in the past. The bell service was VERY SLOW at check in. We asked for a new shower curtain due to mold on the old one and although two people came to look at it a curtain was never delivered. I know these aren't particularly earth shattering events but it does seem to support the prevailing theory that the Venetian is in trouble (isn't everyone?). I believe that the newly reduced rates make it a good deal but the Venetian is no longer the strong 5 star hotel that it once was. But the location remains unsurpassed.

stayed 4 nights had a great time! kids had a ball at the pool if your traveling with children who like to swim spend the extra money and rent a cabana at the pool and spend the whole day . The parent can sit in the shade with A/C and TV and also watch the kids in the pool.

We arrived as invited guest to find a dirty room. Upon inspection we found an empty soda can under the bar area, holes in the sheets, empty bottle of champagne in the bar and someones dirty shirt on the back of the door. All this made us wonder if the room was really clean. In addition the television in the bedroom area didn't work. Hated the long of more than 20 minutes at the invited quest desk and even longer at the conceriege. One night coming home from dinner there was a drunk man passed out on the floor of the lobby. The hotel has really gone down hill.Oh and my god can they please get a different airfreshner the smell is horrible.

This place was awesome from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. Long line at check-in, but went really fast and was able to check in early with no problems. Had a huge suite on the 25th floor with a great view. 4 Star hotel all the way.
