We just spent 4 days at the Venetian and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room is a beautiful, 650 sq ft. tastefully decorated suite with a supremely comfortable pillow top king bed with a sunken living area with sectional couch and dining table. 3 flat screen TV's. The bathroom is all marble and the provided toiletries were top quality. The hall corridors from the elevators are not too long by Vegas standards. The room tower was quiet and elegant. The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous. The restaurant choices are amazingly diverse, 22, I think, in all. There were choices from inexpensive food courts to super luxe gourmet dining, something for every taste and budget. The shopping at the Grand Canal shoppes is great fun with lots of stores, not just super luxe ones. The strolling muscians, gondolas and Venice atmosphere makes for a delightful experience, even if one doesn't like shopping (like me). The casino at the Venetian is very busy and crowded, but the adjoing casino at the Palazzo is much quieter and more elegant. Having the choice is nice. There were lots of families with children staying and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely. We certainly did. There was so much to do and see at the Venetian, one could just stay there and not leave!
