I was blown away with the beauty of the Venetian from the suites to the public rooms. The restaurants were lovely and modern and even the casino was pretty. The meeting rooms and ballrooms were fabulous too. The staff were professional and very accomodating and did a fabulous job of hosting our company's annual event. The only two areas for improvement would be the overuse of fragrance used in certain areas of the building and some of the hotel-catered food choices. For a sensative nose, some areas within the hotel were overly fragrant. Also, some of the food items catered were underwhelming. The actual restaurants were terrific though. I would reccommend this resort for any personal trip or company-sponsored event. I would definately stay there again.

I was very pleased with the service. I just hit the priority button on the phone and my request was met. The only problem I have with the venetian is that all of the good chairs at the pool are gone by 8 - people come and put towels on them to hold.
This shouldn't be allowed.

We went to the Las Vegas for our annual family trip and that was mistake number one. There were young children with us on the trip and the noise and odd smells really threw off my nieces. Mistake number two was choosing the Venetian...

It started off badly as soon as we stepped into the hotel. There was an odd smell about the place. It was like we were nuzzling the bussom of some skanky rich elderly lady. I don't know what scent they were trying to cover up but whatever it was, when mixed with the perfum, it just plain STANK!

Our family requested that our rooms be close together, and they said they could do that. When we went to our rooms we found out that although the room numbers were close together they had put us in different towers! We then called the front desk and they told us that we had to go back to change rooms. We had two kids that were already cranky and hot from all the traveling, but they didn't care. They told us to leave our luggage in the incorrect rooms and let their concierge deal with it for us. We were moved into the older tower which stank even more. The beds were lumpy and the carpet condition rivaled that of a motel that charges by the hour. After waiting for the concierge for 5 hours we called them and that was when they told us we had to go and get the bags ourselves! A security guard had to come with us to make sure that we didn't nab the toiletries that were provided to guests in the new tower, but not to guests in the old tower.

It was difficult to sleep at night due to the noise level in the hotel. You could hear doors banging and drunkards staggering back to crash in their rooms at all hours of the morning. During our second night in the hotel, my brother had had enough and opened his door at 4am in the morning to tell them to please be quiet. The first words out of the noisemaker's mouth was, "Don't call the police." He then proceeded to ignore my brother's request. I felt like I was back living in my college dorm-- except for the perfumed smell. In the three nights we were there, I managed to see vomit, blood pools, and discarded food in the elevators.

The swimming pools were AWFUL!!! The main pool was packed with people and debris from the poolside cafe could be found in the pool. The Venezia pool was much quieter, but it was teeny-tiny. Again, there were lots of debris to be found in the pool, but at least in this one it was just natural debris such as leaves and drowned insects. The hotel description of "idyllic Venetian garden" and "gorgeous" just makes me laugh.

Because the nightclub Tao is located in the Ventian, every night the hotel gets an influx of scantily clad jail bait and men so oiled they practically slipped and slid into the hotel. Security for the hotel guests consisted of a security guard in the hallway checking for room keys. So, anyone who picked up a room key could theoretically be allowed to wander around the hotel! I don't want to know if they did.

It was a terrible experience and I would not recommed it to anyone.

The first time I went to Las Vegas around seven years ago, I stayed at the Venetian and had never seen a more amazing hotel. About 4 years ago, I went back and was also awed. I just went back a third time and while the common areas are still gorgeous and dazzling, my suite was showing signs of wear. The bed skirt had a few holes, the lamp shade had a tear and one of the electric outlet wall plates was broken in half. The sofa was also pretty worn to the point that a small area had unraveled. We did not stay in the most expensive suite, but it wasn't the cheapest either. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Only on our second to last night did they place a wastebasket in the bathroom. The last night we were there they took my used bathrobe (DH never used his which was left hanging) and did not replace it. Did they not replace it because we were leaving the next day? I bathe in the evening before dinner and like to put on my robe while I put on my make up, dry hair etc. so I told DH that I would just take his, but he said no that we were still paying for the room and I should call and ask for mine. They were apologetic and delivered one immediately, I also had to ask for soap since they took our used soap without replacing it either. My shower cap was also taken and not replaced. The next day (our checkout day) around 9 a.m. housekeeping opened our door without knocking. Granted I did not have a do not disturb sign, but to me do not disturb means do not disturb by knocking or by making any attempts to come in. A lack of a sign to me means I don't mind if you come in, but have the courtesy to knock first. Since we were checking out, they would not have attempted to make up the room until they knew we had left, so this pre check out intrusion made me feel they were hurrying us to leave, that coupled with the removal of ammenities the night before. Either that or they were disorganized, not having knowledge of who had not yet checked out The hotel guests were mostly young people who looked and acted like they were on spring break, but that was all over Vegas. I've never been there in the summer so I don't know if that's indicative of the season. Overall, the hotel is still a dazzler.

First, good for you! Reading travelers reviews is a great way to get a candid glimpse at the property. I had never stayed at the Venetian before, but I will again. Reading the reviews I was VERY nervous to stay here, as some of the more critical reviews where really bad!!! Not sure if those people where just looking for things to complain about though, becuase I have NO COMPLAINTS!!!!!

We checked in Wednesday at 1pm. No problem getting into our room early (probably cause it was a Wed.). We were there for my 30th Bday, so at checkin, I had asked the front desk if I could reserve a Cabana at the pool on Saturday. She connected me right away to pool services, and made my Cabana Reservation...awesome!!!! Also, I had called in-suite dining to order a birthday cake, and it was no problem...delivered right to our cabana.

Our room was awesome. We had a Rialto Suite, so we had a little more SF than the average room (1100), as these rooms are on a wedge shape, so we had a great double door marble entrance....wonderful! We never ordered room service, so I cannot comment on that, but our room was made up everyday by at least 1pm. (as it got closer to the weekend, it started to get later, understandably). All rooms are suites, and all rooms are crazy cool!!!

The location was great, and we hardly left the hotel except once to go across the street to Ceasars to see Bette Midler...she was very good. The shopping and restaurants are very good....

IF you want to go to Vegas, and not have to ever leave your hotel...stay at the Venetian.....
