First time to Vegas as a family (2 rooms on different floors). Most definitely delighted with Venetian. Great spacious rooms and bathroom. The lounge area was a bonus. Beds were comfortable. Loved the TV in the bathroom. Fantastic facilities and shops on site. Excellent location on the Strip. Restaurants were well priced and the food was excellent in the 2 restaurants visited.
Upon arrival it was a very busy time (3pm), took a long time for luggage to be delivered so we left to explore. Hotel not happy but after waiting over 30 minutes we decided not to waste valuable time.
Front desk staff most attentive withany queries and on deparutre printed off boarding passes for flights.
On the negative: corridors were smelly and took one day for rubbish to be picked up off the carpet in corridor (condom), no coffee facilities in room. Noise carries into room from corridor (so hope you are not next to noisy party).

The hotel rooms could use some updating, but terrific layout for families. We traveled with teens over New Years Eve and Vegas in general was the best vacation we have ever experienced as a family even though some of the teens weren't of gambling age. The hotel location and staff made us feel more secure as parents when the young adults went off on their own. The security staff was impressive where they were very aware of the safety of the girls. It did make us feel more comfortable that there were camera's everywhere. The location of the Venetian offered many nearby opportunities for shopping, shows, and activities within walking distance.

As far as the actual hotel rooms, we found things to be a bit dated and old. The bed and sheets to be a little uncomfortable - but, it was not enough to deter us.

The only regret we had was paying the higher prices for the concierge floor. It was definitely too crowded and not enough food offered for the price that was paid.

We booked a suite right after New Years for a 4 night stay. The parking garage was packed and valet was full upon check in, so we parked what seemed to be in the nose bleed section of the garage and hoofed it into the hotel. Check in was smooth and friendly. After about 40 min we finally arrived at our room. The room was as advertised at 600 square feet and very nice. After getting settled, we discovered the room was still very dirty from the previous guests(hair, bottle caps, dirty tissue). We found various items around the floor and under the tables including the carpet somewhat stained and dirty. The sofa smelled a bit and appeared worn. The iron in the room did not work but was quickly replaced with a new one. Also, the thermostat for the room did not work properly for the entire stay, this even after complaining about it to the maids. The restaurants were good, we had dinner at Delmonico (Emeril's place) which was barely average and dinner at Woo at the Palazzo which was unbelievable. You must eat at this restaurant !!!

Looking back on this stay, it was nice but we probably should have stayed at Wynn or Bellagio for the best value and cleanliness.

We travelled to Vegas on Jan. 1st for a few days to get away. Our friends booked the hotel as they are frequent Vegas visitors. Upon arrival it is stunning to see the lobby and registration area. How beautiful it all is! We were checked in quickly, and even though we arrived hours before the check-in time we were able to get into one of the 2 rooms, Our room was on the 15th floor overlooking the strip. The room was fabulous with it over sized bathroom, large living area and trendy furniture that made for a welcoming feeling. Our luggage was brought up quite quickly considering it was prime check-out time on New Year's Day. We ate at the Grand Lux located just off the casino area and even though the line to get in was long we were in quickly. The entire complex is decorated beautifully. The one thing that they need to change is the cheap air freshner smell that they spray into the air to cover the smell of smoke, Please note-smoking is allowed everywhere at the Venetian, and for we Canadians, we aren't used to that anymore. The smell is sickly sweet air freshner and it is everywhere. When you go into your room you will not smell thissmell, however, you will now smell the cigarette smoke that has embedded itself in your clothes. They have quite possibly the most comfortable beds that are availible to hotels, the best bath products and lots of hot water for either long tub baths in deep soaker tubs or in the fabulous (huge) glassed in showers.
