The most mind blowing hotel, i felt like a scared rabbit caught in headlights. It is very beautiful, however, all the staff want is your money!!!. After checking in, the reception lady said go to your rooms bags will follow..... 3/4 hour later no bags... wasting sun bathing time,,,, I called to be told, you have to for them.. Not happy, still no bags, call again. Then a knock on the door.... the bell boy, .... here are your bags... shall I show you around your room... Umm No, I have been here for long enough, I have found my way round. He stood for a min, ( waiting for a tip) So I said Thanks alot, bye!!
The room took 15 mis to get to from reception, I was travelling with someone that had bad knees, the poor thing was tired out by the time we arrived. It is far too big, no personnal ervice and you are a number. The pool was lovely too, but the waiting staff only wanted to serve the rich girls spending Dads money... Not little old me wanting a bottle of water.
We went to bed early as soooo jet lagged, at 7pm someone opened our bedroom door... thankfully I had put on the lock... HOW did they get in, when you have a swipe card!!!!

The Venetian had mixed reviews and many noted that it may not be a place for kids. I brought my 2 sons anyway because I did'nt have a sitter and my conference was being held there. We arrived at 1230 am, exhausted, but our check in was quick and without hassles. My request for extra pillows and a mini refrigerator was honored within minutes. The housekeepers were respectful, polite, and all had a "willing to help" attitude. Room service arrived within 15 minutes of our order. We had a little problem with our flusher in the commode, on the third day of our stay and the repair person came within 5 minutes of my call. The concierge, Nancy, was most helpful and got us front row tickets to 4 shows. The bellman were attentive to our needs, from hailing a taxi for us, opening doors, delivering our luggage without delay, and giving us directions to the city or attractions. Some of these gestures and customer service we take for granted, but believe me, having stayed at many "luxury" hotels, sometimes the service is definitely lacking. But not at the Venetian.
You won't see many kids around and there were no milk and cookies served in the lobby, but the staff were playful and had a list of kid things to do in Las Vegas ready for us to look over. There were also no frowns when my son had a tantrum in the hallway; only words of support and offers of help from the staff.
Our bella deluxe suite on the thirty first floor was wonderful, except for the unappealing view of the back of The Strip. I would recommend requesting for a front view. The room included 2 double beds and a sunken living room with a breakfast nook. The bathroom was clean and large. Just a word of caution, do not even open the refrigerator door just to look inside. There is a sensor and you will be charged just for opening the door. There are 3 HDTVs; one in the BR. There are no laundry mat on the premises; only laundry service which will cost you an arm and a leg. The swimming pool is small. The gym is available for $115 for 5 days. Parking is FREE!! We walked into other hotel resorts on the Strip, and I would definitely recommend the Venetian above the others in terms of noise factor. The other hotels seem to be more chaotic and has an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. And for all of you with kids....Venetian is perfect.

“Wonderful Experience”

Originally we booked our stay for the Palazzo. But contruction delays forced us to stay at it's sister property the Venetian. Our reservation got moved to the Venetia tower. All I can say is it was a great bump. Our room was just gorgeous. The split tub and shower was nicer than the "typical" vegas luxary room. The furniture, though older, didn't have that worn-in Vegas look about it. And the view of the Venetia pool was an extra treat. The service there was impeccable. The hotel went out of its way to apologize for the hotel switch (giving us several amenities). But best of all was there sending up a pretty gift/fruit basket (with a note apologizing from management). My wife is still thanking me for that stay. We tried several of their restaurants (Bouchon, B&B, and Tao). After Watching the Phantom's second show, of the night, we had a chance to try out their basic cafe (Grand Lux Cafe). Tthe food was very good, prices reasonable, and portions insane. We will definately being staying there again.

We stayed here for 1 week in may to celebrate our frst wedding anniversary on our first visit to vegas.
I had done my research and was a bit worried as a few negative reviews had been posted just before we were due to leave! However there was no need this hotel is amazing. Everyone from the receptionists to the security guards treated you like you were there number one guest. The whole hotel looks stunning from the ventian artwork on the celings to st marks square to outside the front where they have classical music playing out on the st. Donts miss the acts in st marcks square which perform every hr its so lovely to just sit and watch and take some time out for a few minutes.
The rooms too are beautiful and look exactly as they do on there website, you also get loads of nice toiletries in the bathroom and the maid comes every night to untuck your sheet and leave a chocolate on the pillow!
The pools are also really nice with really comfy sunbeds, the only complaint witht he main pool is that there is some building work going on that overlooks the pool area and its quite noisey when you are trying to relax. My advise is to find the venezia pool and use this it is much more sechluded and was very quite when we were there (we nick named it the secret garden pool!) and it was gorgeouse with three lovely spa pools that were very warm.
We had an amazing time at the venetian and in vegas its sel.f. Out of all the hotels we went in we actually prefered the venetian the best over the wynn and bellagio etc as its just differed i kind of felt that the whynn and bellagio were just like any other 5star hotel in the world once you got inside.
For our second week in vegas we had to transfer to the excalibur as our budget would not stretch to a second week here but i really missed it this is a wonderful hotel and i would stay again in a heartbeat!

p.s. the casino is pretty classy as well and never too busy, and its sister the palazzo is also a stunning property!

I booked a room at the Venetian at the very last minute due to a problem with my room reservation at the Flamingo. (Please read about my Flamingo nightmare and do not go there). The staff was super helpful and friendly. I had never stayed there before and I felt rescued! They booked me into a large suite and later, booked several of my friends in when the other Flamingo reservations also fell through. My favorite things about the Venetian:
- large selection of reasonable priced places to eat (by Vegas standards anyway!) including the Grand Luxe which was open 24 hours
- the huge rooms with beautiful bathrooms
-the great pool area which was never overcrowded, or filled with drunken idiots screaming "wooooooooo!"
- finally, the wonderful service I received from start to finish (Thank you Kate. I'm sorry we never met face to face! You were great!)

There were some negatives, but they were minor. The furniture may be a tad worn, but the rooms are still nice. My room key stopped working at some point. I can't even really think of anything else. I can't get over how helpful the staff was. I normally stay at the Wynn and although I LOVE that hotel, the customer service at Venetian was even better. The Venetian has won a new loyal fan! :)
