My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Venetian. Upon check-in I inquired about the newly remodeled tower. Which I was given. We arrived at 11:00 am and were given our room promply. I was very pleased with the service, friendly and helpful people at this hotel. I stayed on the 19th floor and it was top of the line. There is some hall noise I noticed at night but as I am a light sleeper it wasn't too bad. The maid came in our room twice a day to clean and replenish the towels. The pool on the 4th floor was great. I wasn't used to 90 degree temps and after a few hours in the sun it gets pretty hot. The pool boys brought out a huge umbrella so I could sit in the shade for a while. Very nice service. You don't even have to leave the hotel. It has fantastic shopping, I loved the canal shops and Sephora was a gem. Sephora is located outside on the front of Venetian. We booked our airplane/hotel package on Priceline and it turned out to be a great deal. The room came out to $150 a night that is a steal in Vegas!

“Loved every minute-gorgeous-posh-exquisite service”

I have to say that prior to actually arriving in Las Vegas for our 6th wedding anniversary, I was very nervous about what the stay would be like given the reviews here on TripAdvisor. We kept our reservation, despite last minute searches at other properties-Paris, Caesars out of concern, and I am now sorry I even doubted The Venetian's service one bit.
First, we arrived and had arranged a stretch limo airport transfer with Presidential Limousine. Best service in Vegas, Ask for Roman. He's the most professional driver and you feel like Donald and Melania and it's not much more than the standard cab fare. TOTALLY WORTH EVERY PENNY-we'll never go to vegas again without calling Presidential.
On to the Venetian. We arrived at 2:30 and check in was a breeze. We asked for an upgrade, not really sure if we got it, but it didn't matter, all the rooms are spectacular, all remodeled by KNA Interior Design in LA (one of the best). We arrived at our room and looked out the window to see the TAO pool area, and we preferred to look the other direction down the strip (south), so I called front desk and they gave me about 5 options, switched me right there and up we went to the 31st floor, room 133.
What can I say? Immaculate. Beautiful, enormous.
Let me get back to the room switch. The person who helped me was pleasant, accommodating, presented an attitude that whatever I wanted would be delivered with a smile. Nothing I requested was unreasonable. Let me remind you were were NOT paying a lot for this room. Rooms at Paris and Caesars were much more expensive than this. THe venetian delivered top notch service with such polish.

All details of a 5 diamond hotel were included. Fresh flowers in the HUGE bathroom suite. 3 flat screen televisions total in room. Separate commode "room" Vanity bench and table. Makeup light, Awesome console with backlit top, wrap around couch in sunken living room, SPECTACULAR view of strip and posh Venezia tower and 10th floor roman spa/garden/pool. Thick bathrobes and slippers were provided in-suite as well.

We needed a humidifier during our stay, called while off property, when we returned it was in the room, running. NO extra charge.

Security is great, you have to show your room keys before getting on the elevators, which I appreciated. You can access the canal shop floor from your elevators, the casino floor and the pool floor, which makes it all very convenient.

If you sign up for Club Grazie ahead of time online, you get $15 of playing credit in the casino.

We are just recreational/entertainment gamblers, so that was fun for us.

Plenty of food options in every $ category, and the wax museum on property is a fun experience as well.

We saw Beatles Love while we were there, part of American Idol filming, so it was convenient to get to the Mirage from Venetian, which we also appreciated.

All in all, the stay was fantastic, we will always stay there as long as they keep up their 5 diamond status and tell all our friends. Best value and felt like a rock star.

“Surprisingly elegant and beautiful”

Venetian Resort Hotel Casino

We stayed at the Venetian for two nights to celebrate my husband's birthday and our 25th anniversary. Neither of us had ever visited Las Vegas, and we were a little skeptical about pricey accommodations in a town noted for bargains, conventions, and drunken gamblers. We could not have been more pleased with our experience at the Venetian. Our suite was absolutely beautiful: spotlessly maintained, lovely muted shades of golds and browns, three plasma TVs, an enormous bathroom with gleaming marble. The lobby and other public areas glistened and sparkled, the product of careful attention. Although the theme idea (gondolas and the Grand Canal on the Strip in Vegas) is classic kitsch, the hotel itself is elegant and tasteful. Service matched the beauty of the rooms. Great restaurant choices, with lots of variety in prices and menu. Top notch in every respect.

“Very Disappointing”

Venetian Resort Hotel Casino

We travel to Vegas every year and stay at the Bellagio. We have always wanted to stay at The Venetian. This year we traveled there for our honeymoon and chose to stay at The Venetian for one night before staying at the Bellagio for the next 6 nights.

We arrived at The Venetian and were greeted by a HUGE line for check in. We have never experienced this at the other hotels in Vegas. We arrived at 11am, well before check in.

We were very happy with our room, as it was large, clean and beautiful, although it had a view of the top of the hotel. It was awful.

We ventured down the pool and were greatly disappointed. It was like a "girls gone wild" video at the pool. I am not even talking about the Tao Beach Club, all of the pools seemed to be full and crowded with drunk people of all ages. We spoke to the staff and they said it was always "like this".

We ate at the Wolfgang Puck restaurant at the pool and it was fantastic! The waiter was phenomenal.

As for our dinner, it just seemed to get worse. We went to the Lux Cafe at the hotel. The food was great, the waitress was awful. Two parties sat next to us in the time we were there. The first was two drunk girls, that were not nearly 21 who spoke loudly on their phones and were swearing. The next couple was a young man and his apparent girlfriend/partner. They were both very drunk. He spoke loudly on his phone the whole time they were there, swore alot and then when he decided to sit down, he put his foot up on the table!! The girl wasn't much better, as she had her shoes off and was also swearing.

On the way back to the room (which seemed to be the only redeeming quality of this hotel), a drunk 50 something fell on my godmother in the elevator.

We checked out at 8am, as we could not wait to get out of this hotel. I realized when i got to the Bellagio that I left my personal cell phone at The Venetian. I call The Venetian and they told me that "they didn't have the time to check the room, but would later in the day". I just paid over $300 for one night and you can't go check my room for me?? So, I took a cab back to the hotel and the taxi driver suggested that I just go back to my room with my card, as it was only 9am. I went back up to the room and to my suprise, the room had already been rummaged through!! So, they told me they couldn't do it, but then went up and went through it. I saw that the room service cart was moved and all of the bed linens were stripped down. That really aggravated me. I didn't find my phone, so I headed to the front desk. I spoke with the manager, who contacted housecleaning who had the phone "in transit" to security. Well, and hour later, I received my phone and could not wait to get out of that hotel.

Oh yah, the room service food was overpriced for the quality.

Overall this hotel was awful.

“We used to like the Venetian Suites”

Venetian Resort Hotel Casino

May 6, 2008

We have stayed at the Venetian a few times in the past. They have always been top-notch.

Our visit this time was kinda disappointing - with regards to the suite. It seems that they don't pay attention to detail anymore. Our bathroom had a maxipad wrapper in the middle of the floor. We were not given a facial soap (you know that small soap for the bathsink). And we were not given those wash cloths/face towels either. And lastly, one of the bathroom sinks is clogged up.

Having been to the Palazzo about 6 weeks ago (which i did a review on also), of course there would be differences. But no hotel housekeeper should ever ever leave a maxipad wrapper in the middle of the bathroom floor.

Aside from these issues re our suite, the rest of the hotel is just as good as before. Check-in was fast. Valet was pretty quick. In-suite service was not bad, too.

Next time, we'll stay at the Palazzo again.
