Stayed with a friend of mine at TI the last week of June 2007.
Arrived to the hotel around 1am, because of flight delays and of course there was no one waiting in line. Went to check in and we had reserved a standard room (around $105 a night). I politely asked how much it was to upgrade and he told me 30.00 per night, but to let him check for availability. He said they didnt not have anything, but they would put me in a different room for the night and I could come back down in the morning and change if I wanted.
We headed to room 33050 (33rd floor). We noticed the room was different, as it had double doors and a doorbell...compared to the other rooms with single doors. I opened the door and our mouths dropped open. There was a marble entryway with columns, a bathroom just as you enter on the left. After the entryway was a HUGE living room with dining room table, 2 couches, coffee table and large tv. The bedroom which was just off the living room was just as huge. It had a couch and table, large work desk with lamp and phone.
Also in the bedroom was one of the most comfortable king size beds I have been in. At the foot of the bed was a tv, which raised up and down from a cabinet with a remote. A radio with I-Pod dock was also beside the bed. The bathroom covered 2 walls behind the bedroom, with 2 entrances. The first side of the bathroom had a jacuzzi, make up table and seperate sink. The other side of the bathroom had a HUGE walk-in shower and sink. Both sides of the bathroom had their own toilet and they were joined together by a very large dressing room with a chest of drawers and two places to hang clothes. There was even a shoe buffer in the room! The room overlooked the SIrens show.
We called down to the front desk and told them we were fine with the room (HAHA), so we stayed there the rest of the trip at no extra charge. I don't know that I would ever be as lucky to get a free upgrade like that again, but it made for a GREAT stay at TI.
The staff was very helpful as well and it wasn't nearly as crowded as other hotels. The location is good as well, its in easy walking distance to other places and convienient to the monorail. One of the shows we attended was Celine Dion's at Caesar's Palace. It was a 10 minute walk, so not bad at all.
My first Vegas stay was at Luxor and it was nice, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay at TI again!
