Treasure Island, or TI as they refer to themselves these days, is a good, solid full service hotel. Rooms are ample size, clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are reasonable too with hair dryers and toiletries. Beds are really comfortable. Lots of food options inside and one of the better buffets to be sure. We wish there was coffee in the room and a mini bar or fridge. We had neither. Location is perfect easy walking to many other casinos and if you like to shop, right next door to the mall. Casino is good too not too big. $5 minimums can be found during the day on tables.

Can't say we had any real problems but we were a bit dissapointed. First, the staff seemed, well disinterested, even from the moment we checked in. Bad first impression. No eye contact and no thank you. We were also the only ones in line. Later we needed some glasses and I asked the maid in the corridor and she seemed annoyed. Isolated incidences hopefully, but it just rubbed us the wrong way.

Our real issue was the pool. We stayed at the sister property The Mirage two years ago and the pool was fantastic. I expected at least a larger area that was better looking. The actual pool was really small and totally overwhelmed by 20-somethings. The deck area wasn't big enough to get away from all the noise and the chairs were dirty and some rusty. Now, we are only in our mid 30s and like a party but sometimes you like to relax and we just couldn't.

So, overall if you don't care about the pool, want to shop, eat and gamble and don't care about being made a fuss over, it's a great option. I just felt for $150 a night, they could have seemed a bit happier we were there.

The trip started off rough with a Delay from AirTran of 4 hours which got us into vegas way late.( plan was supposed to leave at 7am) ( take a direct flight if possible to avoid a day long travel) Once at the airport we took a shuttle service right outside the baggage area. it was 20.00 R/T for two which wasn't bad, except we had to wait for 25 minutes for the van in 106 degree heat outside. Might be advisable to take a cab, and split it with others it is quicker.
Once at the Hotel check in was quick and painless. ( this was at 6pm Vegas time) The room was a Tower Suite and was very large with a Jetted tub for 2 and a oversized marble shower. ( 2 seperate bath rooms) However for the next 3 day we had few towles and no wash cloths. Room service was a bit slow bringing them but when we saved them they took them away the next day and did not replace them, prompting a call again. Room had a small fridge which was nice as we bought soft drinks at a local Walgrens on a side trip. It beats paying 2.75 for a coke at the machine. Also no coffee maker so had to pay $2.00 for a cup at the casino in the mornings or more at the Starbucks. We used Dollar rental car for day trips. They have a booth at TI and was convient, parking was free. All in all it was nice but after looking at the Mirage next door i would compare the prices and stay there for a few extra $$$ as it has more to offer. If you get a real good deal at Ceasers or Venetian..Go for it, .. Yes we did go to Vegas to get married and did so at Floyd lamb State park. Nice setting by Large ponds Grass, Trees, ducks and pheasents, Mountains in the background, and all 20 minutes from down town via the Limo. ( A LasVegas wedding Chapel set it all up for $600.00. They were great as was David the Pastor)

We stayed at Treasure Island for 3 nights and would not stay there again.

Our internet connection never worked properly despite being on the phone with tech support for 15 minutes, and having an engineer visit our room to replace our ethernet cable. In addition, the hallway between our room and the elevators reeked of mildew and garbage. It's a good thing we didn't spend a lot of time in our hotel room.

During our stay, I had a massage at the spa and my sister had a manicure/pedicure, which did not live up to our expectations, considering the price of these services.

It was a very disappointing stay.

Stayed in TI because of the good price we got through the website. We had picked a penthouse room but as people were able to smoke on that floor in any room when we got there we opted for panoramic room on a slightly lower level. I assume the more you can afford for a room the less rules there are as to whether you can smoke or not. The room was well furnished and I know it has been said before but the bed was amazingly comfortable. We had 2 windows giving us good views but the standard rooms are smaller than the tower room we had at teh Luxor on our last visit. We're not serious gamblers but the casino was much easier to navigate and that goes for the whole hotel really. In comparison to others it is a compact size. The pool was particularly geared towards single 20 somethings at the weekend but quieter during the week. We ate in the buffet one night and to be fair I was quite impressed with the quality and range for the price. If you can get agood deal on price go and have a great time.

  • Liked — Quality of hotel, room views, the bed!
  • Disliked — Smokers kind of had a better choice of room.

There is nothing special about this hotel- compared to the other hotels in vegas. ALTHOUGH- there is nothing BAD about this hotel either- its clean, its in a good location- but there is NOTHING special about it.
The rooms are very average 390 sq ft= on the small side. One downfall about Treasure Island- the cleaning ladies- will NOT give u privacy even when you have the "Do not Disturb" tag on ur door- make sure you put the secruity lock on because the litterally walk straight into your room even when your in it. They did it to us 3 times- unbelvable. The day of our check out- the banged on our door at 8am to see if we had checked out early- we could no believe it.
ASIDE from "housekeeping" the hotel is in a fairly good location- if you like to shop- its 5 min walk from Fashion show mall.
5 min walk from Wynn- Veneitan is across the street. To get to any of the other hotels- Bellagio, Ceasers, Paris etc. Unless you like to walk- I suggest paying $5 for the Deuce Bus- unlimited for 24 hours- ITS GREAT everyone takes it.
When i go back to Vegas i wont stay at treasure island again- its just not a great hotel ITS TOO AVERAGE- way too average for Vegas. Stay at a Better hotel! Ceasers is a party casion- GREAT mall, resturants etc. Wynn is AMAZING.
Pay a few hundred dollars extra to stay at a better hotel- I suggest you do it. I learnt from my Mistake.
P.S ALL THE FOOD IN VEGAS IS AMAZING!!!
