“Nothing special...”

Treasure Island

We picked Treasure Island and thought it would be something special – it is not!
The main area is just filled with gambling facilities, smoking and drinking customers…… No nice place to sit, to have a coffee or a glass of wine.
The rooms were clean and pretty big, our had a nice strip view. Plenty of towels, shampoo etc.

But after haven seen some of the other hotels in Las Vegas we would not stay at Treasure Island again. There is many more special and charming hotels, like Paris with a lot of different restaurant, coffee bars etc. or the Venetian (really good Italian restaurant close to the food court area on second floor –they even give you free wine if you order a main course!)

As a tips; the free show at Treasure Island was really disappointing, not at all worth waiting for!!

Stayed at TI for two nights. Would stay there again without looking at any other hotels. All staff was friendly, my basic room was spacious, clean and comfortable. TI is a smaller hotel than others on the strip and I enjoyed that.

Enjoyed the atmosphere at Kahunaville one evening watching their dueling pianos show and flair bartenders. Spent part of another night at Tangerine and enjoyed the live burlesque/go-go show/band as well as the DJ music and atmosphere.

Location of TI was wonderful - really enjoyed the surrounding properties - the Venetian, the Mirage, Caesar's and the Wynn.

You wait in line for everything, to check-in, then when there is no room ready, you wait again to actually check in. I was there for one night for a professional meeting. After about an hour total in line, and several trips from my meeting back to the front desk, I finally got to my room. Very slow service at the restaurant, got the wrong food, then waited forever to get it right.

The TV broke in the late evening, and they couldn't fix it. Any solution, either changing rooms or waiting for a new TV would take a long time that I needed to sleep. I complained to the front desk and they said "Sorry and we won't do anything".

This was not a horrible experience, just very aggravating and no attempt by management to make it better (I actually wasn't looking for the room to be comped, but something other than oops!). Lots of employees around, but nothing seems to actually get done correctly or without a really long wait. I would never stay there again.

What an excellent hotel, rooms clean and well equiped, food on sight more than we could eat. Very good location for seeing all the strip, and catching the buses. Will definitely book here again.

“Great location!”

Treasure Island

Looking for a hotel in Las Vegas is difficult. Let me re-phrase that. It is easy as there is quite a selection...choosing a reasonably priced, well -located one is difficult if you have never been there. Let me re-assure you. This is the hotel to choose. There are many higher class hotels and many lower class hotels to choose from, but the Treasure Island is somewhere in the middle and you will not be dissappointed. The rooms are large, clean and well-equipped. The bathrooms are also large and well-equipped. We were a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids(16 and 13) and we were very comfortable.

The most amazing thing about this hotel is the location. I can say walking distance from everything, but as you know in Las Vegas, what looks close is very far...........

This hotel is in the heart of what I consider the best of Vegas. Major hotels all around and a shopping mall(Fashion Mall) next door.

My husband and I stayed here twice before and we had no hesitation in bringing our kids this time. They loved it and felt safe and comfortable in this hotel. The casino even smelled nice. Some smell of stale smoke. This one has piped in fresh air with a hint of something pleasantly floral. We also found the rates reasonable.

If you are not sure of which hotel to pick, this is the one for your first time to Vegas. You will be glad you did.
