“In general, a nice place”

In general, I liked Treasure Island. Check-in went well, although there was a long line, and I wasn't feeling well after the flight. I asked for a room with a view of the strip, and the rep helping me was more than happy to accomodate. I've found that some hotels on the strip charge extra for a view. Our room was nice, could have been cleaner, but I've found that with most hotel rooms. The view ended up being fantastic. The room was very quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was large, with excellent water pressure. I would say the only experience that I had that was less than lovely was when on the second day I decided to put a credit card down on the room so I could use the internet. The rep at the front desk seemed a bit impatient when I repeated back to her what she told me, just so I knew I understood. I smiled and kept my patience, and she calmed down and smiled also. Other than that, everyone seemed very friendly. The bellmen were very friendly and helpful, the cocktail waitresses were very nice (as opposed to some very rude ones elsewhere on the strip) and the servers in the buffet were very attentive and nice as well.

The buffet was fantastic- we went for a late breakfast and lingered a bit to chat, so we were able to sample some of the lunch options that came out a bit later. Everything was excellent. Probably the best desserts I've had on a strip buffet.

The location is good, although it is difficult to get in and out of the hotel when the "Sirens" show is going on. Personally, I prefer being a bit more south, closer to Harrah's or Flamingo, but the location of TI was good too, right next to the Fashion Show Mall and across from Venetian.

“TI Conveniently Located”

We chose TI based on location, and stayed for 5 nights. On that basis, it did nicely, just a hop and a skip from the Venetian, Mirage and Caesar's, as well as the the Fashion Show Mall which turned out to be a surprisingly great place to eat! There's not much happening at TI itself, or the Mirage for that matter, but either one is a good jumping off point for a Vegas stay. Our room was small, no fridge, nice view of the strip, but windows were filthy on the outside-to be expected in dusty Vegas, I guess. Walls are thin; we could hear our neighbor shaving and sneezing, nevertheless had good night's sleep even though we retire early. The Sirens show was fun, and not as racy as I feared; even the grandkids loved it and were so excited to shake hands with some of the actors afterwards. Best thing at TI is Canter's, my favorite L.A. restaurant although the Vegas version trades its original Jewish ambience for a more Star Trekky one. It's the best deli on the strip, though, skip Carnegie at the Mirage whatever you do.

“Hi energy and great service!”

Our trip was a lot of fun! We watched the Sirens show on the patio of the Tangerine nightclub so we were not stuck in the crowd. The food was very good including the buffet and steakhouse. The dealers were friendly and we even hit a $1,000 jackpot on the slots. Try the blazing 7 games. We got a cabanna out at the pool and had a blast. The night life was jumping with their night club and the lounge Mist. We got a great price on the room and we joined the slot club - we a definatly going back.

“worst night of my life was at TI”

On august 23rd 2005 my husband and I checked into a luxury suit on the Las Vegas strip to celebrate our honeymoon. That evening we went out to a show and when we returned to our room we found hotel employees clearing out our room. While we were out a faulty fire extinguishing spigot broke over our bed and flooded our room with horrible smelling black water. The hotel employees gave us a new room and assured us that they would help us get our belongings back together and help us get home after they kept us up to 5am inventorying our ruined belongings. Instead we have been given nothing but a run around. We not only missed our flight home, but ended up flying out on a more expensive flight with ruined luggage that smelled horrible. Because we had our wedding in Vegas and hosted the whole deal ourselves we had thousands of dollars of belongings with us including our laptop, cameras, hundreds of music cds, an mp3 player, as well as all of the gifts we had not opened from friends and family from the wedding. To make a long story short we were contacted by the hotel’s risk assessment investigator who told us they would contact us in 7 to 10 business days. She also warned us that on claims such as this the “ceiling” is $750 dollars and that we would never get closed to the amount we claimed we lost. At this point I have been worried to the point of sickness and my husband has been scrambling to find a way to recover all of the work he lost on his laptop. We are fair people who feel that we are being taken advantage of by a large hotel. They not only ruined our honeymoon, but also thousands of dollars of our belongings. The hotel staff was rude and made my husband and I feel like we were the criminals there. Needless to say we will never be returning to TI again.

“Don't”

The staff at treasure island from the start were not at all customer friendly. Rooms were not stocked with towels, nor were the rooms cleaned without a call to housekeeping. And on top of all of that, we had shopping bags full of purchases made in Vegas stolen from our room totaling over 1,000. The response from the hotel was "too bad"..literally.
