We checked into TI on Sunday, July 31 around 2pm. Check in lines were long but moved along. We were able to get into our non-smoking king room immediately. Room was your basic Vegas hotel room - clean except for the bathroom which had hairs on the floor and very threadbare towels. OK for the $$. Played blackjack at the $5 and $10 tables and did very well. Cocktail service on the playing floor was quick and frequent! Ate b'fast the next morning at the restaurant - not buffet and food was good value for the money. Not a place for people who want to hang out at a pool - pool is TINY. Location is very central and facilities are adequate for the $.

“Value for money at the TI”

We are a family of four from the UK, with two teens. We decided to have a whirlwind 2-week holiday in the US which included 2 nights in Vegas - at the TI. We were not disappointed - nor were we blown away. To give you our perspective, we have absolutely no interest in gambling and didn't spend one cent in a casino but we just went to see Vegas. We all agreed that Vegas is a Disney for adults and the hotel played its part in validating that view. I loved the whole pirate theme at the front of the hotel and the setting for the Sirens show looked great too (although the show itself is cheesy and naff and very dull, with poor music but a great set!). We were there mid-week and maybe that's why we weren't troubled by the drunks mentioned by other reviewers.

The hotel is located on The Strip, close to The Venetian and The Mirage and we were more than happy with the location.

Our 2 double rooms were a good size, very comfortable, clean and spacious and definitely value for money at $86 per night (inc tax). We arrived early (9:00am) and went straight to the restaurant to get breakfast and were lucky enough to then get an early room (11:30am), bearing in mind we were told rooms are available from 3.00pm but you can queue for rooms as they become available - the queue was about 30 minutes. The breakfasts we had were all good and Dishes was great value - I would recommended Dishes for lunch - we didn't make it but it looked very good and with a great choice.

We avoided the pool, it was just too hot, and we didn't even venture out there.

We had dinner at the Stratosphere restaurant, "Top of the Tower" and I definitely recommend it for the view. Food's fairly good too, quite expensive for the US but OK compared to London! I booked the table before leaving the UK and recommend you do this - and ask for a table by the window! If you've travelled a long way, try and get the best view! If you dine at the restaurant you can then go up to the viewing gallery where you can see the rides (I daresay you can go on the rides too but they were way too scary for us!).

We also took a helicopter tour (Maverick) of the Grand Canyon. Outstanding. You must do this - it's amazing and try and go on the late one so you fly back over Vegas at night.

The rest of the time we just walked around the hotels and enjoyed their free extravaganzas - the Mirage volcano, the Bellagio fountains. Given that the temperature was about 110F (42C approx) we spent a lot of time seeking out air conditioning! It sounds so dull to be walking around hotels (basically huge shopping centres) but you cannot believe these places until you see them. The Venetian is just incredible, complete with the Grand Canal and Gondolas and so many of the other hotels and casinos are incredible to see.

Vegas is an amazing place - 5 stars. After 2 days there we left feeling that there was a lot more to see - undoubtedly the best way to leave a place. If we do ever go back we would think about staying at the TI again but would probably go for another hotel - depending on price!

After hearing great reviews of TI, I decided to give it a try--an expensive try! At $200 a night, I expected better... After waiting in line nearly 40 minutes to check in, we got to our room and realized our keys did not work. After the staff tried to blame it on us that we "de-magnatized" them, they realized they forgot to reprogram them. We called security and they brought us new ones. These keys didnt work either, and security had to be called a second time. Finally, we got keys that worked. The room was nice, there are no fridges though. (They probably want you to eat in their restaurants instead of bringing food in). The bathroom was nice, maids were very friendly. Beds were rock hard... very uncomfortable. Casino was ok, no great slots though... We ate at DISHES... I highly recommend even if you dont stay in the hotel. Though a bit pricey, it was worth it. The desserts were especially good! The Siren's Show was a disgrace. All it is was half-naked girls trying to seduce half naked pirates on a ship. Not for children. The whole show is about sex, and how they will sink the men's ship if they dont like it... hmmm... Songs are lame, dancing is worse... and the dialog is horrible. Tangerine was fun.. but overpriced. Beware, the bar will not give out a glass of water, instead, they will try to sell you a $9 bottle of Fiji water. Music is great, room is tiny. But you get in free with your hotel keys.

My husband and I stayed at the TI last week (July 10 - 14). We really enjoyed our stay at TI, although it wasn't 5 ***** in our eyes. The room had a great view (we could see the Sirens of TI show). The best place to see the Sirens show is from sitting on the patio of their bar Tangerine - great view, no crowds, but sip your drinks slowly as they are pretty pricey. The pool was small in comprison to some of the other big hotels, but we didn't go to Vegas for the pool. We were able to check in by 12:00 pm and were given a complimentary bottle of champange. The plumbing was a little problem as the toilet didn't flush on the first try and the pipes were very loud any time the room next door used their water. We didn't hit Dishes buffet, but hit the Terrace cafe - it was decent and not overly priced. We didn't care much for the casino, as the service was terrible. Overall I would recommend this hotel - especially if you get a good deal like we did. Hope this is helpful.

Just got back from TI and weren't all that impressed with it. We brought our 2 boys with us (ages 8 and 13) and were immediately disappointed with how small the pool size was. Not only that, it seemed that every available inch of the pool was filled with an adult with a beer in their hand. We generally waited until after 6 pm before we even thought about bringing the kids down. The casino was very smoke-filled and the smoke seemed to linger in the hotel hallways. The Sirens of TI show outside the hotel is overated in our opinion. Kids and us were both bored. After seeing it once, the kids insisted to walk the mile or so to the Bellagio every night to see the water fountain show instead. Rooms were OK. Probably wouldn't go back.
