Having been to Treasure Island a few years ago, we had high hopes for our stay, but it was a bit of a letdown overall.
When we arrived (Monday afternoon) they had about 4 staff checking people in and out. There was a huge queue to check in, and they were really slow in getting through it. The lady who checked us in asked a couple of questions about our stay but she certainly didn't come across as being genuinely welcoming.
To be fair, we asked her if we could get a strip view and she organised a room with 'panoramic views' - this was good as we got two different views outside (it was a shame the windows were filthy though!!!)
The hotel's location was a huge selling point - it's at the top of the middle bit of the strip, near lots of other impressive hotels/casinos, and right beside the Fashion Show Mall which is good.
Our room was OK by Vegas standards. Whilst it was spacious, it just didn't feel very clean and maybe it felt like it was showing its age.
We had mixed views about the casino itself. As a cheapskate, it was great that they had quite a few low stakes tables!! Staff and other players were really friendly. Some of the dealers were really good in giving advice.
My only criticism was that the casino felt a bit dark and dingy compared to many of the others on the strip, so it wasn't that welcoming.
At the end of our stay we had another long wait to check out (just not quite as long as the people who were waiting to check in that Saturday afternoon - the queue was huge!!).
So, in summary, if we're lucky enough to get back to Vegas again soon, we'll probably stay somewhere else!
