I decided to stay at TI because the rates are great, the remodeled hotel looks fun and the location can't be beat. I've stayed at the Mirage for work and discovered TI because I had to book people there when Mirage got full. I knew that TI is a little lower in the class department, so I expected a less accomodating staff, but figured the new rooms and convenient shopping would make up for it. Not so sure it balanced out.

I booked my room through Orbits. Orbitz charged me for a suite and booked me a regular room. TI would not accomodate. The front desk basically called my husband a liar and would not take a forwarded email as proof of the room we paid for. We had to settle for a regular room knowing that we paid double the going rate. But that's partly an Orbitz issue.

They also booked me in a newly remodeled room. What could be bad right? The bed was great, the furniture was nice, but the whole floor (including the room itself) stunk like very strong new car smell. The fumes were terrible.

The trip itself wasn't bad, but I'd rather pay the extra $50 a night for good service at a classier hotel. Sorry TI. You should finish your renovations by hiring new staff. These people belong at Whiskey Pete's.

My recent stay at TI was very pleasant. My husband and I had a room on the 10th floor with a view of The Strip and it was fine...
...................not fabulous, but fine. The room was average in size, we had a king bed and the decor was very sleek and easy on the eyes. As other reviews have stated, the beds are really comfortable, linens crisp and pillows fabulous ! Towels are not the greatest, but we did have a bath mat !

Check in was a breeze, perhaps because it was a week-day, and check out was a snap. Desk clerks were very friendly and efficient. Upon checking out (I thought it was odd there was no electronic check-out offered on the In Room TV) , I mentioned to the clerk that I really liked my room and she said I was in one of the newly renovated ones. She mentioned floors 15 and up in some of the wings were not renovated, so if you decide to book at TI I would advise you to request a newer room. When I called TI to book my room the reservationist was extremely nice and helpful.
Valet service also friendly and timely.

If you are looking for a nice place to stay in a great Las Vegas location for a relatively reasonable rate , with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom, I recommend this hotel. If you are looking for the wow factor (huge sleeping rooms, marbled public rooms, upscale shops and fancy casinos), then you will have to spend the big $$$ and stay at the Venetian, Bellagio, Wynn , or better yet Il Palazzo !

  • Disliked — Walking through casino to get to the elevators.

Stayed at the TI from March 03-08 and was pleased with the experience.

We checked in late in the evening and they didn’t have the room requested but we had been warned and it was expected. The initial room was fine and they upgraded us the next day to the proper room.

The room was clean and comfortable with VERY!!! comfortable beds.
Only a few minor issues with the rooms
The television didn’t have any options available (movies, account review,,,) but who goes to Vegas to sit in front of a TV?
Mildew in the shower.
Lights flickered on and off.

Ate at a few restaurants, the Coffee Shop and Kahunaville and the service was mediocre at best. Our servers were nowhere to be seen and the food was not that great either. Strangely the best service was at the buffet where our attendant was always coming by to see if we needed anything. Even if you only want a glass of orange juice you are better off at the buffet than the coffee shop. Not to mention that it will probably be cheaper at the buffet.

Saw Mystère, Love and Blue Man Group. Mystère is a typical Cirque du Soleil show and is worth the money. Blue Man Group is a fun show as long as you know what you are getting into. (loud percussion, props and a few laughs). Love is a can’t miss for any Beatles fan. The music is great and the performances are perfectly suited for the setting. Not as acrobatic as the other Cirque shows but still a can’t miss.

Casino is drab with automatic shuffle for blackjack. The player club comps are waste of time. The $25 a hand minimum for BJ is a pain and 10hr of $50/hand will get you exactly nothing in comps. Not that I was expecting anything but better be warned if you are.

P.S. book early and review the rates often. I cancelled and rebooked 3 times in a one months period because the rates kept going down. ($149.00 - $119.00 - $99.00) Unless you get a really great deal from a broker, book directly with the hotel. Much easier to change bookings.

I booked a Tower Deluxe Room, however, when I arrived at the hotel, I was told that I could not have this room. Instead, I was given a Strip View Room on a low floor, which actually had a view of a parking structure. I requested a room more comparable to the room I had originally reserved and the front desk employee had the nerve to tell me that the room I was given was identical to the room I had reserved... except that it was not on a private floor, did not have a vaulted ceiling, and did not have views of the mountains. My response? "Um, then it's not the same, is it?" He reluctantly moved me to a room on a higher floor, with a rather nice view of the strip. The room would have been perfectly fine, however, the linens were filthy. I really don't think they had been changed since the previous guests checked out. The towels were covered in make-up. I wouldn't stay in this hotel again. The service is horrible.

We chose TI because of the mostly positive reviews and the location. It is true that the beds are incredibly comfortable. It is also true that the strip-view rooms have a great view. However, if you plan on actually getting a decent night's sleep - stay elsewhere. We went to bed each night around 1AM and were constantly waking up from the sounds of slamming doors (or maybe just closing doors), people talking in the next room and it sounding like it was right in our room, the toilets flushing in the room next to us, and, my favorite part of all, a woman in the room next to us climaxing.

The walls must be paper thin. We called to complain both nights and the second night we were so upset that my boyfirend asked for a refund. They said if we'd called the night before they would have given it to us. He explained that we did call and spoke to two different people. The manager was unresponsive and said that he had "no record" of it and therefore could not do anything.

We are not picky, we travel a lot, and we are not usually light sleepers. And I don't think the people around us were even being that loud - the walls are just too thin. Stay elsewhere if you plan on sleeping at all.
