We stayed in one-bedroom suites at the start and end of our trip. Room #323 had a full size Murphy bed built into a wall credenza; room #823 had a sofa/bed. Both were clean with no smell of cigarette smoke. The kitchens were well equipped and the bath had a surplus of linens even for a large family. The bedrooms had a large dressing area with separate sink and large mirror.

The hotel is just a block off the Strip BUT late at night the area can be a little scary. Not a lot of “normal” Strip foot traffic and occasionally some “weird” folks but not enough to keep us from staying there in the future.

Construction on Las Vegas Avenue near the Harmon intersection has traffic reduced to one or two lanes in both directions. If you’re driving, I’d avoid the Strip as much as possible.

Don't miss the Titanic exhibit at the Luxor if you have the time. Tickets at TIX outlets are about half the price of tickets at the Luxor

Our family of 5, with 3 kids ages 8-10, stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in April 2009. Our room was a one bedroom suite which included a full kitchen, a king bed in the bedroom, and a sofa sleeper with 2 additional chairs that converted into single beds in the living area.

The room was very clean and roomy. It was very easy to park here and there was a tennis court and pool in the back. I would say the best feature of this hotel was that you could walk about a block to the Miracle Mile Shops and the strip. You're very close to all the action but not so close where you have to deal with the crowds and driving issues.

This hotel is a no-brainer for anyone who wants to experience Vegas but also retain a more traditional accommodation.

We arrived here on Friday 10th April at around 12pm with myself, my husband and 2 teenage kids, where the staff hapily checked us in and gave us our rooms. We were given 2 rooms on the 4th floor:

2 bed apartment
Pros:
Large 6 foot bed
En-suite bathroom
Dressing table and chair
Walk in closet
A 2nd bedroom with a large king size bed, with tv and a bathroom oposite which included a large walk in shower!
The living area was huge, with a huge sofa, which could seat 8, which can also make a double bed. There is a table and chairs, and a large kitchen with everything you will need.
Also there is a modem for internet which is great.
Bad point:
The master bedrooms bathroom needs a bit updating, maybe with a shower instead of a bath.

We also had a 1 bedroom apartment which was large and could sleep 4, the bathroom was huge with everything you will need with 2 tv's.

The hotel staff are excellent, including the concierage lady and the reception staff, they were happy to help anytime for taxi's and car hire. Also when I asked for a member of staff to fix my bath tub, a man came up within 5 minutes to fix the problem!

The best part about the carriage house is that there is no casino, so you dont have to walk through a huge casino to check in or go to the pool.

We would definetley return to the carriage house if we came back to vegas, as the hotel was the best part of the holiday, but this time we would just have the 2 bed apartment as it was enough room for 6 people!

The Carriage House provided an amazing "bang for the buck". Got a large suite, including a full-size kitchen, with 2 TVs. The room was very clean. Check-in was quick and efficient. Free coffee was available in the room or in the lobby. The hotel is a short walk from Planet Hollywood. Small exercise room is available all night.

The only downsides:
1. The hall smelled of smoke, something that I am not used to, although seems to be common everywhere in Las Vegas
2. There is no casino on-site of course - MGM is a few block walk, but that gets you to the back of the hotel, far from the casinos, etc. I suggest the shorter walk to Planet Hollywood.

This was my third stay at this all suite hotel - each time a different size unit. All units are large plus include either a kitchenette or full kitchen fully equipped with everything you need including a daily supply of decaf/reg coffee and paper towels. Your bathroom includes a great supply of towels never given in the hotels I have stayed in, a good looking shower curtain and bathroom rug, cotton swabs and cotton balls. In short, they give the extra effort. It's so clean my boyfriend thought we were in a new room. The room decor is great and I have never had to make a request to housekeeping. I know when I check in it will be a great stay. Only area that could use some updating is the hallways. There are washers/dryers located on assigned foors
