We had a week in vegas, and the carriage house was fabulous. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially the concierge. It was so close to the strip but you could sleep with your window open at night and not have the noise of the strip. It took no time at all to get a cab if you needed one. The condo was so nice and clean. We ordered our groceries ahead of time through 'getaway goods.com'. It was so nice, our groceries were there and put away when we arrived. Enjoyed the cold beer when we arrived from the airport. The lobby was under construction but did not interfere with our stay at all. It was the perfect getaway. Would highly recommend it and liked it sooo much, we are staying there again on new years eve.

My wife and I just returned from Las Vegas after spending a week at the Carriage House (CH).

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway from the hussel & bussel of Vegas, CH is it!!

While we love Vegas, it can get annoying having to navigate around some of the more popular hotels. CH is a breath of fresh air.

We traded our timeshare for a 2 bedroom/2 bath unit at CH and were very pleased. As other writers have noted, there is construction in the area, so if this is a concern, request a higher numbered room. The lower numbers are on the end of the building near the PH construction. We were in 301 and the noise never bothered us - even with the windows open.

And yes - there is no restaurant or bar on premise, but again, it's nice to escape the traffic. The Staff is excellent, very accommodating and even printed our boarding passes. Security is excellent and we never felt uncomfortable walking the 2 blocks to the strip.

If you don't mind the slight walk (one trick is to enter the PH side entrance - this cuts off a lot of walking in traffic and construction) to get to the strip, then CH is a gem in the forest of mega-resorts.

The Carriage House is above all Clean and Friendly. Our stay at the Carriage House was for one night only but I am looking forward to returning in January. The Bed is clean and firm, the comforter is a bit scratchy but that is the only nit pick I can make about the bed. The kitchenette is dated but clean and very useful especially the mini fridge. The Widescreen HD LCD TV was a big surprise, as was the DVD player. The only other complaint I could make about this room is that when you close the shower curtain it gets dark in the shower. We got our room for under one hundred dollars a night (including tax). The Hotel is Literately 2 short blocks from the Harley Davidson restaurant on the strip. Its about a 5 minute walk to the Miracle Mile "mall" (indoor walking) which brings you right to the PH hotel and casino (nice buffet @ PH). What a stunning value to find in popular Las Vegas. I can't wait to return.

Saw that the Carriage House got constantly good reviews so thought we would have a go rather than chance Priceline.

It was everything we hoped it would be.
Check in was quick and effecient and we were on our way to our 7th floor room. Did I say room?
Full kitchenette with full size fridge/freezer and high stools at breakfast bar. Longue area with settee, armchair, 50" TV, table and 2 dining chairs. Bedroom with King bed, large chest of drawers, large TV, dressing area with vanity unit. Bathroom small but perfectly adequate. Walk in wardrobe and storage room with iron etc and safe. I have friends who live in smaller houses! 4 windows looking out on part strip. part mountains and a lot of construction ( but never a problem ).

Security good as you have to use room key to access lift and outer door at night. Also security guard on duty in the lobby overnight.

Nice gated swimming pool ( gain access with room key ) just steps from the main building with hot tub. Never very busy while we were there.

No eating facility on-site but hey this is Vegas with a 1000 places to eat.

It's located just minutes off the strip with no casino or slots. It's an oasis of calm after a day / night on the strip.

If you want comfortable, spacious accomodation in a quiet area yet only minutes from the Strip then go grab it - you certainly wont be disappointed.

It really is as good as everyone says it is!
