Our room was just as shown in the hotel photos. Very well-appointed, very clean, very comfortable. The service throughout (casino, front desk, restaurant) was exceptional. The shuttle runs frequently and is only 5 minutes to the strip, with its stop in the center of the action (Caesar's Palace, Bellagio, Paris). We asked for a view room and got wonderful night photos of the strip.

The pool area was fabulous. Given that, that bowling alley, and the movie theatre, this is a great family location. Security was great--showing key card to get into elevator.

The bathroom was a bit small. Only the first cup of coffee is free and internet is $10.99 a day. As my husband noted, "everything in Vegas costs extra. " Otherwise, no complaints. The best stay during our two-week road trip, at the lowest price too.

Just got back from the Orleans. Fantastic, Fabulous, Fierce, and Fun! My family and I went for my cousin's 20th year wedding renewal. We all stayed there. Not one complaint. We plan on going back in August, 2007. I loved everything about the hotel. I have nothing negative to say. Everybody and Everything was Excellent!!! We didn't have to rent a car due to the shuttle bus to the strip. Very convenient. Food great!!! Room rates - you can't beat it. The fun book you receive helps out alot on savings. The pool was superb. If you drink cocktails - you must have their signature drink - The Alligator. I got bite and now I am hooked. But I will only have them there. I recommend this hotel to everyone. This is the only hotel I will stay at when visiting Las Vegas. When they made this hotel, they got it right!!!

fantastic value hotel. we had a room on the 20th floor which was fantastic. it was larger than average spotless and the most comfy bed we have slept in. the buffett was absolutely the best tastewise and value for money. we hired a car so it didn,t bother us that this hotel is not on the strip. we got a free funbook which was excellent.
it has vouchers for free cocktails among other things. we just cannot fault this hotel and we will go back time and time again. this was our second stay.

We enjoyed the hotel so much we are going back on September 27th, 2006. I loved how you had to show your key card everytime you had to get on the elevator. We discovered the pool area on the 3rd day and it looked like an oasis, but was unable to go swimming due to other festivities. You got great sleep because you are off the strip and the guest were not rowdy. We recommend this hotel to any patron traveling that wants quiet off the strip life.

We've just returned from 3 weeks in the US, 5 days of which were spent at the Orleans. I thought this was a great hotel for the money - we'd spent three days at the Frontier last year, which was appalling and so the Orleans was a real revelation. Our room had an excellent view of the Strip and was exceptionally clean - in fact the whole hotel was very well kept. It is a bit of a pain being 2 miles or so off Strip but there's a free shuttle bus to the sister property the Barbary Coast which we used once but cabs are pretty cheap - it only cost us $15 to get back from the Sahara. We ate in three of the restaurants and all of them were pretty good - the steakhouse loft was particularly good and all were reasonably priced. Sure, you're not getting the convenience of a Strip hotel or the glamour of one of the big theme hotels but, for the price, I think you're getting one of the best deals on the Strip.

Talking of good deals, try the lunch at the Commander's Palace at the Aladdin - great food and 25 cent martinis....
