Have stayed at several hotels on the strip and a few off the strip. The Orleans is the best of the bunch. Especially when you factor in the inexpensive room and resturant prices.
They have several resturants at the hotel. All seem top look pretty good. We tried the Italian one called SAZIO'S. The Veal was delicious, the Lasagna and Chicken Parmisian was also great. When I got the bill I was even more pleased.
Highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

My huband and I traveled with our 7 year old and chose the Orleans because it was kid friendly. Our son loved the day care facility, movies and bowling alley. My husband and I enjoyed all the hotel had to offer. The room was spacious and the service staff in the hotel were friendly. We had a rental car so therefore didn't deal with the shuttle bus issues. The slot machines paid off for us and the food was okay. The only thing that surprised me about the Orleans was the cable line up. Being such a kid friendly hotel I was suprised that there was nothing on the cable line up for young children such as Cartoon Network or Nick Jr. When your going all day long and want some down time to rest it would have been nice to have something on TV for the children. All in all a great stay and we would stay at this hotel again.

We got a fantastic deal at the Orleans: $109 for the room,dinner for two and two tickets for the Donny Osmond show. Our kids joined us for dinner and the hotel comped those meals too (which was a nice surprise). The Orleans is a great choice for people who want a clean,comfortable quiet room,and outstanding service,but don't feel the need to stay right on the Strip. I really like the layout of the rooms here,and wish other hotels would adopt this idea. Unlike most hotels,the bathroom is located at the rear,with a large sitting area next to it. It makes the room seem larger,more like a suite.
The room was spotless and extremely quiet. We heard no noise at all
except an occaisonal door slamming down the hall. The service here is
friendly and fast,unlike the mega hotels on the Strip. Pool is large and nicely landscaped. Lots of activities for families: movie theater,bowling, "Kids Tyme" daycare facility. We enjoyed the Irish pub. Drinks were generous and relatively cheap. Atmosphere in the casino was pleasant, unlike most of the casinos in Vegas. Contrary to some of the other reviews, we didn't find it to be very smoky at all. I would recommend the Orleans,or any of the other Coast hotels,to anybody looking for a nice place to stay at a reasonable rate. The big hotels and gourmet restaurants are just a few minutes away. We're looking forward to staying at the new South Coast hotel when it opens next year.

Orleans is a great place to stay. We go to Vegas several times a year and usually stay on the strip, but due to conventions decided to look elsewhere. The Orleans is clean, not overcrowded, great choice of restaurants. Rooms were nicer than some on the strip at less the cost. All in all I would definately stay here again.
