We stayed at the Orleans for one night, but had arrived at noon,on a Thursday, and were able to get both rooms right away. That was nice, as we didn't want to have to go back out and come back to unload our car in 3 hours.
The staff there was great.
There was a huge amount of kids there for a huge basketball tourney, all over town. The kids were in the casino, which seemed strange.
The pool was alot nicer and bigger than we expected.
Security guards check your key every time you walk near the elevators.
Alot of food places to choose from, we didn't leave until we headed to the airport at 8 AM the next day.
Room was very comfortable and clean. Little bottles of stuff in bathroom were very nice as well.
Thankyou Orleans for a great stay, we will definately be back.

This was the 2nd time we stayed at the Orleans and the 1st place i'll go when I go back to Vegas. Only minor complaints i have would be the service and quality of their Cafe (diner) is average at best, though the pre-7am steak and eggs for 2.99 is an excellent value. They also could use a little made shade near the pool . But It was not their fault it was 118 degrees. Overall this is a great place to stay at a fair price. First time in Vegas stay on the strip, after that go to the Orleans .

Good value for money, but watch out for TV-charges and unfriendly staff

We stayed at the Orleans early July 2005 for 2 nights. Very nice recreation area with nice pools, enough sunbeds and towels - a must when you visit Vegas during boiling hot summer months. Restaurants working fine, food ok. Very large and nice rooms compared to European standards, clean and well equipped. Reception-staff ok (not more), check-in and -out efficient. We had some problems connecting our laptop to internet and mixed up the TV channel search with this. Was charged for video-rent on the bill because of this, even if we could not recall to have confirmed any of the 7! steps the receptionist claimed we had to go to get to a video. Information about this video-charge system was not to be seen in the room nor anywhere else. Recommend you to be careful with the video/TV-channel search as it seems very easy to slip into a pay-video by accident. The hotel had suprisingly few TV-channels. The shuttle to the strip works fine, getting taxi's back from other parts of the strip (the shuttle stops only at one hotel at the strip) was more of a hazzle. Could not try the casino-facilities as I had my under-aged daugther with me.
Tried to use my credit card to buy some stuff from the hotel-shop, our credit cards have ID with picture on the back and they work fine everywhere else in the US. But in this shop I had to give it up due to a stubborn attendant who insisted that I had to present a drivers licence with a certain numeric ID-code to be able to use credit cards in Nevada....

This was our first time in Las Vegas. Reading all the reviews, we selected the Orleans. Our family, including 2 boys, stayed 3 nights for $50 per night. The rooms are huge with 2 queen beds, our room anyway, a loveseat and huge window. The room was VERY clean and filled with amenities. Our room overlooked the pool. The location is not on the strip, but a free shuttle runs to and from the strip every 30 minutes or so. The casino was fabulous, lot's of slots and video games. A good selection of table games also. The ONLY thing that was not excellent was the mexican restaurant. It was not very good at all. It cost 4 of us over $40 to eat there and it was marginal at best. HUGE arcade for the kids, a bowling alley and 18 screen theater all in the same building. We WILL stay at The Oreans again in the future.

We just returned from Las Vegas and stayed at The Orleans. We had originally planned to stat at Circus Circus but after reading reviews from this site for both hotels we selected the Orleans instead. Very impressed with the hotel. Very clean and friendly staff. Veronica, the clerk upon check in was very accomodating to our request for rooms on the same floor. The room itself was spacious with two queen beds and sitting area. Large bathroom with window inside shower stall-very unique. At night our floor was quiet (7th floor)-did not hear outside or hallway noise at all.
We only ate at two of the restaurants-The French Market Buffet for breakfast which was a great value and The Courtyard Cafe for Breakfast and Dinner. Food was fine and value good. Servers were very friendly and refilled drinks without asking. Enjoyed the casino-only played the slots and found a wide variety of slot machines from pennies to dollars. We had a car so we drove to the strip. Would stay at The Orleans again without hesitiation. Overall the Orleans was a great value and convenient to other things we wanted to do.
