If you are looking for a place to satisfy kids in Vegas while you do your own thing (without having to consider the aging Circus Circus) this is the place!! We stayed for 5 days, my 8-year old daughter couldn't get enough of the Kids Tyme day care!! I was worried she would get bored after one night, but she couldn't wait to go back every night!! The place is secured, there's all kinds of things for them to do, with a small snack bar, you can authorize a budget for them to eat when they get hungry. There's a big crawl gym with slides, playstations, Nintento Wii stations, all kinds of fun stuff. We also enjoyed the bowling alley, they can put up bumpers so younger kids won't get discouraged by gutter balls. We didn't have time for the 18-plex movie center, but I heard it was spacious. Best of all, the Ringling Brothers/Barnum and Bailey Circus happened to come to the Orleans Arena that weekend, so I got FRONT ROW seats with my daughter!! She had the time of her life!!
We didn't even have to take her to the Circus Circus Adventuredome at all during the trip, she had so much fun where we stayed. She even made friends at the Kids Tyme center, they were all crying when the kids had to leave each other!
I enjoyed the craps tables, the dealers and boxpersons were nice and friendly, not grouchy like some of the old Stardust dealers. Also, there were several tables open, all with $5 minimums all day/night!! Hard to find on strip or near the strip. Also, the cocktail waitresses were all hot!! Every single one of them, with sexy outfits. Good job of hiring!!
The casino floor is a little on the smoky side, so young kids may have to get used to it. My daughter used an air freshener to cover her mouth/nose, but she got used to it.
The Budget rentacar site was a bit of a challenge to get to, although it was across the street, I couldn't even jaywalk because of the traffic.
Parking is convenient, even in the covered structure.
Driving to the strip doesn't take too long.
The room was really nice, clean, and large. Our family of 4 was very comfortable.
Bathrooms were very well kept.
Advice: We made sure to get a room close to the elevator, because the building is in a "t" shape, with very long hallways.
It was a really enjoyable stay!

This is the first time I have stayed off strip for a Vegas visit.I was very impressed by my stay at this property.I had a car so getting to the strip was no issue. Valet parking was very efficent at check in as well the rest of the process. We were in our 19th floor room in 15 minutes from driving up.The room was spacious and spotless, much larger than a standard room on the strip. We tried the cafe and the buffet for breakfast and it was fine. We visited the pool three times during our M-Th. visit and it was never crowded and fairly quiet. I did notice tobacco odor on our hallway, but not in our room.We even caught a early afternoon movie at their complex upstairs. We'll be back on our next visit.

Stayed here the weekend of the Hatten fight. Did not have any tickets and could not get hold of any. Were we lucky or not!!!!!.
We picked the Orleans because we have stayed there years ago, so knew what to expect. and the deal was $219 with $100 of credit. We thought it was a good deal and it proved to be so.
Front desk no line, dealt with quickly and courtiously. In any big hotel always ask for high room, no connecting doors got 19th floor with a view towards the strip.Room and bathroom a little dated (which we knew) but clean and tidy.
All staff we came across were pleasant and helpful.
Minus. Was the dinner buffet, they seemed to have cut back on things.
Plus. Got it out of our credit.
Also the friday night jazz by the pool seems to have gone.
Overall a pleasant experience.

The Orleans is part of the former Coast group of hotels (Sun Coast, Gold Coast) that is now owned by Boyd Gaming (Sam's Town). As such, this hotel includes a multi-screen movie theater and a bowling center if you want to get away from the gaming tables and slot machines. The Orleans offers clean, comfortable rooms along with a selection of restaurants that make it almost a destination resort for a traveler who doesn't need to stay on the strip.

Let me begin by stating that I was less than excited when my husband said we would be staying here for a portion of our Vegas trip. He bowled in the USBC. That was the main purpose of our trip but we also stayed at Mandalay Bay as he wanted to take me to the Lion King show and we got a great package. Well knowing that we were starting off at the Orleans seemed less than delightful considering we would be going to the MB later that week.

I didn't expect that I would like the Orleans as much as I did. We paid $39 a night for the room. Check in was very efficient. We were given some really good coupons for the eateries there when we checked in. The room itself was very good sized. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. They also have a safe in the room as well. I can be extremely picky when it comes to hotel rooms. I was pleased. There are plenty of amenities at the casino and resort. THere is a fuddruckers, Sbarro, TGI Fridays, Buffett (very good with a wide selection and clean!), Prime Rib Restaurant, and a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Store. If you like Chocolate Covered Strawberries you have to try them there!! Amazing and right by the elevator before you go to your room. The views from the hotel are amazing too. We had a view of the mountains and the nice pool area.

My husband plays the Dice, blackjack etc. I like to watch him but here I found plenty of games that suited me as well. In addition it is easy to navigate around the casino and the atmosphere is very relaxed. All of the staffers both in the hotel and casino seemed very friendly.

We rented a car so my husband drove us where ever we needed to go. However there is a shuttle right in front of the hotel that will take you right to the strip. It seemed like a 5 minute drive to the strip. And let me say that you park right in front of the hotel. No huge parking garages to navigate. They also had valet parking that we did not utilize here because the parking was so easy.

All in all I enjoyed our stay at the Orleans. When we go back we are planning on staying here again. It is a huge value for what you get.
