stayed at the orleans from 7-31 until 8-4

what a nice place. i used the reviews of this site to make my reservations and can honestly say that everything good about the place is true. the rooms were lovely, staff friendly, and food was good. we were not run over by small children and would definately stay there again. the gift shop and liquor store was very reasonable. my only complaint was that this is a pepsi hotel, so for all my fellow coke drinkers, just bring your own! we had a car which i definately reccomend, but other than that i can't complain about a thing.

I enjoyed the hotel it has a great pool party for adults during the summer. The buffet is great, one of the best. The dressing room was perfect when going with others, you can get dressed in a roomy area instead of a cramped bathroom. I could look outside my bathroom window and look at the pool. It was a great experience I would recommend it to anyone.

First the downside (there was only one) - the hotel had laid on a shuttle to the strip, and sometimes the short wait (20 minutes was the longest) was difficult in the heat. Okay, that's out of the way, and it masks a benefit - the Orleans is set back a few blocks from the strip, so the busy streets could easily be avoided here. All amenities at the hotel were excellent. It had a fresh feel, the bedrooms were large (2 king beds and seating area), and security to get to these good. Don't miss the buffet breakfast at the French (although it served 7 types of food) restaurant - $6 for a feast!

On our first trip to Las Vegas we were relied entirely on the reviews posted here to select the Orleans as our place to stay. We couldn't have made a better choice. We were there for 4 nights from the 27th to the 31st of July. Check in took all of 10 minutes and our spacious and very clean room was on the 17th floor over looking the pool. The fun book you receive upon checking in give you a multitude of discounts and we took advantage of many including two for one tickets to see the Righteous Brothers. The show was fantastic and although our seats were in the back, just before the preformance began a very friendly usher escorted us to the front row where two seats went unclaimed. Many thanks to him. The shuttle made it very easy to get to the strip and we visited it several times but we were always glad to get back to the realtive calm of the Orleans. Found in the Orleans and sorely lacking in the strip casinos were reasonable priced table games. During our stay there were always two $3.00 minimum blackjack tables and at least 6 $5.00 minimum tables. Also, there was a $2.00 craps table and a $.50 roulette table. Try finding that on the strip. From this site we were aware there was no coffee maker in the rooms so we brought our own so that was not an issue. A thanks to Trip Advisor for this service which made our first visit to Las Vegas a huge success and when we return you can be assured we will be at the Orleans.
