We have used this place for a convention for the past 4 years or so, The rooms are hard to find as no signs are anywhere if one walks down about 5-6 different sections. Check in is always slow. Check out is to be avoided so check out on your TV. This is basically a locals hangout, and; some are downright addicted to gambling. The staff has gone downhlll in the past two years. Their are still some helpful types though. Unless you get out of this place you feel capured. It is no where near the main strip. Yes they have a shuttle to their other BYD casinos. A cab to NYNY or the MGM Grand is about 15 bucks/20 with tip.
The Orleans seafood is good, but; most restuarants here are chains like Fridays. If you are a burger, pizza , are a Fridays fan, or like a great prime rib this is your place.
The Casino switched to a three tier players card system like Harrahs. Dump 2-3K or gamble about 5K in 4 days and you can cash in 13 bucks or play 25 bucks worth of credits. I hate the comps here.
However, the price is right for those on a budget. The rooms are clean, have a coffee maker, plus an iron and a safe. The AC will freeze you out. You could dump this place and 5-10 like it inside the MGM Grand and the MGM Grand would still be less walking.
The problem is no signs are posted to find the rooms/elevators from any of the cutoffs and back places. You have to recall where the main cashier and table games are to find the rooms.
The restrooms are a long walk from most slots and table games. I have won here. A 12,700 plus jackpot in 06 and have lost some, too. I see why the locals come here. They know to come at 3-5 AM. Take note of that time down.
