Check in was very slow. We spent approx. 40 minutes in line. The rooms wee very spacious, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were very small. The pianio bar downstairs was great....It was going stong every night...and the talent of these guys were awesome. Expect high prices of alcohol at this bar. Coyote Ugly was over rated. They were begging people to come in and giving free access. They played head banging music all night. Beers were pricy 6 bucks. the pizza shop was awesome, reasonable prices. ESPN Zone was the best place there. Great Food, and Decent Prices.

I expected more. I have stayed in many hotels in Las Vegas in the past 15 years and I expected more from New York, New York. We stayed there for a wknd. this past June and the pool area was TINY, the air smelled like sulfur and the view is of the parking garage. The area is so small that people were crowded onto rocks and steps. This was so surprising to me bc all of the pools I used (Mandalay, Flamingo, Excaliber, etc.) have been enormous and have had plenty of room for all visitors.

The spa was also a HUGE disappointment. It was run down, cramped, mauve and not nearly as luxurious as their ad implied nor Mandalay Bay (so far my favorite hotel on the strip). During my massage I endured construction noises from another floor. The day after we left they were going to be remodeling the spa so maybe things will improve.

In addition, as guests of the hotel I expect to get preferencial treatment at the bars and clubs. But no, we have to pay the cover to get into the Irish bar, and we were given no coupons or anything to get into the ubber popular Coyote Ugly.

I won't stay here again.

The New York New York is the place to stay in Las Vegas. It has everything you are looking for. Great casino, really comfortable rooms, amazing restaurants, a nice pool, arcade, great bars, great shows.... We were there for 4 nights, and we drove 5 miles down the highway and made a u-turn and stayed for 2 more nights. We visited several other hotels and casinos and none of them compare to the New York New York.

We stayed here for 3 nights in June and absolutely loved it - the room was modern, clean and stylish - I really could not fault it. The entertainment int the hotel is fantastic. To be honest this is a great hotel and the one and only negative comment I have is that the late night food service could be improved!!
