stayed jan 15-18. requested rooms nearby as i was traveling with my ellderly parent. staff were very helpful put us in adjoining rooms.
graet rooms tight slots but it is vegas. highly recommend papillion helicopter LC-1 tour of the grand canyon

Our third trip to Vegas, we stayed at NYNY. Got a great deal with air/hotel. Can't say enough good about the hotel. Such an ambiance - an air of fun, so much to do. Great location, too. Near everything. Were on the 21 floor and could see the first hill of the Manhattan Express roller coaster from our room. Very exciting. Ate at Il Fornaio and it was great. Even bought a recipe book of their breads! Slot attendants very helpful when I had a question. Stay there! You won't regret it.

I would rate this a very nice hotel. The rooms we had were large and very clean. We had 8 guys down for the trip and they gave us two rooms which conected and two cots. The layout of the place can be a bit confusing and if you play poker this is not the hotel to do it at (they have only 3 card) - but no matter what everyone says, this hotel is on the strip (the front entrance is on a side street but the side entrance is on the strip and alows you to take in the sites and gamble everywhere. Not a very young crowd, but I think the walls were well insulated b/c we did not get a single complaint and there was some very loud mornings coming home. The food downstairs was a overpriced (but so is everything else in Vegas) and the lady at the pizza shop wouldnt sell us a pie at 3:02am b/c they stoped selling them at 3am - pretty silly but oh well. Definately take a walk down to the Belagio and take in the water show and then the buffet. Also fun, there is a Country Western bar in a hotel off the strip somewhere that has an electronic bull you can ride - if its your thing this place can be really fun - also they have a contest for women to ride the bull in their underwear - what a town. Enjoy, be careful crossong the streets and dont plan on staying for more than 3 days - it gets old and tiring. Solid hotel choice for the right rate.

This was my 5th trip to Las Vegas, 1st time staying at the New York New York.

Checked in at the airport at 10:00am, room was not ready, but they reserved it for us and told us to pick up keys when we got to the hotel and the room should be fine. Got to the hotel, within 5 minutes had out keys and made it up to the room . Was on the 28th floor of the "Chrystler Tower" with a standard Skyline room. People have made comments about the size of the room, but for the two of us, there was not a size problem. It was a great room, with a western view. Extremely quiet, never had a noise problem. Will stay here again if the price is right.
