Sure, this place is not the Wynn but their room rates were exceptionally low compared to other similar caliber hotels nearby. This hotel seems well maintained, bright, and roomy. The rooms are large and fresh and the casino was, at first, loose but became much tigher as the weekend progressed. The pool was hip and designed to easily locate friends. The only one minor negative is that the selfparking can be relatively far. Had to make two trips to bring in our luggage. But it was no biggee. Be sure to google up a good rate with buffett and pool-side drink credits rather than going to the big guy websites. There is no resort fee here... thank you very much!

My friend and I decided to make Vegas an annual trip since we turned 21. This year we chose to stay at the MGM, simply because the pool is raved about by everyone we met previous times. Also because the deal we recieved was amazing.
-The pool-Yes it was amazing!! Day lockers are 4 quarters, having one was so handy. Drinks by the pool are as expensive as most night clubs, so be prepared to pay the same. When you order a slushy drink in a souvenir mug ($21) you can get a refill for $9, try the drinks first in a small glass as we found both to be too sweet for a refill, even the next day.
-The casino- is very smoky, even for my girlfriend who smokes like a chimney. It stings the eyes. We have stayed in more smokey hotels, so this didn't bother us.
-The buffet- was very tasty!! As part of our package we had free buffet all day our entire stay..Our top choices--
BREAKFAST- omlete station, tater tot casserole, fresh fruit everywhere. NO eggs benedict, that made me quite sad.
LUNCH and DINNER- Prime Rib, Spicy Chili Chicken (not very spicy at all), Sweet and Sour chicken, Tuscan Italian soup, strawberries and watermelon (to die for), cold crab legs with warm butter.
-The room- we booked a grand tower room with two queen beds, that was perfect! The beds are amazingly comfortable. Our last two nights we upgraded to a celebrity spa suite for $30 a night.. call in the morning 8am, to see if there's an upgrade available and how much it would cost.. That room was amazing! Look at pictures of the jetted bath tub and you'll wish to upgrade.
-The only negative comment I would make is that the hotel is huge, walking took forever but we knew that in advance so not a big deal. Plan ahead what you'll need to leave the room with so you wont have to make the trip back..
-As for the gambling, previous years we spent $20 at best gambling, this year we never spent a cent. Won around $40-$60 at a machine and in the end profited over $600.

This was the first time we stayed at MGM. We've previously stayed at Hilton Grand Vacations Club (timeshare), Venetian & Bally's, and this was 2nd only to the Venetian. But the value outdid the Venetian. We got a king bungalow suite for about $90 a night (sign up for their email & text alerts for some great deals) and it was beautiful. The casino was nicely decorated, and thankfully, not smokey at all. And the pool was great - we spent every morning lazing in the riverpool - met some great people, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. While there we ate at Seablue - a wonderful prixe fix menu - and it was delicious. We will definitely stay here again.

I had booked the room a few months ago through the hotel website. I specifically requested a Grand Tower room because I had heard the West Wing rooms were very dark and small and knew I wouldn't like that. When we checked in the woman tells me, I see you requested a West Wing room. I told her that I never requested that and had even printed out the confirmation so I had proof. She kept insisting I did and sent us to the West Wing anyway. The hallway was dark, the elevators were horrible, and when I ever saw the room, I just wanted to go to another hotel. The view outside was of a concrete wall out of a little tiny window. At 6am the trash truck came and emptied the dumpster. There was basically no bathroom. Right when you walk in the door to the room, there's a sink and 2 glass doors. One was the toilet and the other was the shower. I wanted to leave right then, but my husband was tired and wanted to wait until the morning. I spoke to someone at the front desk. He was very nice and apologized, but said they didn't have any king room in the Grand Tower, but would have one for us the next day. I suspect that they gave our king room in the Grand Tower to someone else and so tried to make me think I booked the West Wing. Anyway, the next day they did have a nice room in the Grand Tower for us with a decent view. So we packed back up and switched. What a difference. It was so much nicer. It was nice to finally have the room I booked in the first place. I'm sure some people like the West Wing, but it wasn't for me. Other than that it was a good stay. The hotel itself was nice. I know alot of people think it's too big, but I didn't mind the walking. Most of the hotel staff was very nice, but there were a few rude ones, too.
