I had booked the room a few months ago through the hotel website. I specifically requested a Grand Tower room because I had heard the West Wing rooms were very dark and small and knew I wouldn't like that. When we checked in the woman tells me, I see you requested a West Wing room. I told her that I never requested that and had even printed out the confirmation so I had proof. She kept insisting I did and sent us to the West Wing anyway. The hallway was dark, the elevators were horrible, and when I ever saw the room, I just wanted to go to another hotel. The view outside was of a concrete wall out of a little tiny window. At 6am the trash truck came and emptied the dumpster. There was basically no bathroom. Right when you walk in the door to the room, there's a sink and 2 glass doors. One was the toilet and the other was the shower. I wanted to leave right then, but my husband was tired and wanted to wait until the morning. I spoke to someone at the front desk. He was very nice and apologized, but said they didn't have any king room in the Grand Tower, but would have one for us the next day. I suspect that they gave our king room in the Grand Tower to someone else and so tried to make me think I booked the West Wing. Anyway, the next day they did have a nice room in the Grand Tower for us with a decent view. So we packed back up and switched. What a difference. It was so much nicer. It was nice to finally have the room I booked in the first place. I'm sure some people like the West Wing, but it wasn't for me. Other than that it was a good stay. The hotel itself was nice. I know alot of people think it's too big, but I didn't mind the walking. Most of the hotel staff was very nice, but there were a few rude ones, too.
