As part of my b-day gift was the spa I got very Ill from the serves and went down you emt came to see what was wrong and i told them how sick i got all he could tell was i should not fly home your staff at the spa didnot even offer any type of refund nor did the emt offer to help get and I.V stared I returned to my home and seen my doctor with in 12 hrs of returning home .I had not only had the problem because of the spa but food poising. I have been home for 1 wk and still have sore all over my body from the Bindi Herbal body treatment. I filled out a report with the emt and thought at least someone might call .But all you people care about is the $$$$. NEVER AGAIN

My husband and I just spent three nights at Mandalay Bay to celebrate our first anniversary. We absolutely loved the hotel. The room was clean, with a great view of the pool area. The bathroom was amazing. We both enjoyed the oversized shower and a very nice, large, tub (no jets, but great for soaking, bath salts provided by the hotel). There are 4 pools: one wave pool surrounded by a beach with lounge chairs; a "lazy river" pool with a waterfall, and two other large pools. Rafts and mats cost $20/day to rent, but if you wait until 3-4 to go out (and who wants to sit outside at noon when the temp is 100+ anyway) you can find them lying abandoned around the pools. Our only gripe was that there was little inexpensive dining on site. However, if you take the monorail to Excalibur or Luxor, you will find a food court at each. Other small tips, if you want lower minimum craps or blackjack tables, go to the Sahara at the other end of the strip. $2-3 even on weekends. And cabs are very expensive, so plan to pay at least $12 for a 2 mile ride.

My husband's company had a retreat at the Mandalay Bay and I tagged along. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Our room was spacious. We didn't have a bad meal during our entire stay. The spa was first class - an absolute highlight. I could have stayed in the spa for hours every day. The pace of the hotel was simply more resort-like than any other hotel we visited. The downside, it was hard to get a space at the pool.Until hotels in Las Vegas have concierges who will help you get reservations at restaurants and shows at other hotels, this will never be a first-class travel destination.

I have travelled the world and never have a been told that my stay didnt warrant something. This place should be called " Overpriced hotel a'la carte. Dont expect anything from this place except a plastic botanical garden and lip from the workers. For 300 a night, you should at least get a newspaper without being told, and I quote " YOur stay with us doesnt warrant a free newspaper". They need to train their people at the desk to say something like, " There will be a small fee for a paper". I called the manager and couldnt get one, the person that answered my call addressed herself as a supervisor and told me thats their policy to tell paying customers this. They could care less if you are not a high roller. A average person that drops a couple of thousand dollars in this place means absolutely nothing to these people. I would suppose that the sister companies such as the Luxor and Excaliber are operated in the same manner but I cant speak for them. I have never been so pissed at a place I was paying over 250 a night for. You would think they want your business. Never again will I spend another cent at this place. Please spread the word . It sucks

The hotel rooms were gorgeous. I travel at least 50% of the time for work, and have never stayed in such a nice room. The bathroom counters are granite. The soaps, lotions, sea salts, shampoo, conditioner, and dental rinse are high end brands. My spouse and I LOVED the separate garden tub and shower. Our room overlooked the beach. We found the beach to be busy, but it was possible to find a lounge chair. The spa was the most luxorious, quiet, and relaxing places I have ever been. It is worth the money. They really know how to cater to the rich. The one thing I would improve about the Mandalay Bay is that all guests who gamble should get free drinks. It is expensive to stay there. Only gamblers at the high dollar tables got free drinks.Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely do it again. This resort caters to the rich.
