Stayed: North Tower, 18th Floor, King-Size Bed, Non-Smoking
I'm a college student, and was looking for an upper-class hotel while saving money. Most of the hotels directly on the strip are relatively expensive, so when the price came to roughly $60/night with taxes for the Hilton, it seemed very reasonable.
This place is not a Ritz Carlton. It is, however, not a Motel 6. It's a very decent casino/hotel for the money.
The Hilton is located in the north, relatively far from the actual strip. There is a monorail that I used everyday to get to the Strip hotels (monorail is hardly used, very underrated). It wasn't great having to stay about 5 minutes from the Strip, but I saved money staying @ the Hilton.
Some of my statistics/opinions:
- The television/network doesn't work well and is outdated.
- Room bathroom is decent. Large tub/shower.
- The beds are hard and sub-par.
- Casino is small, but clean. Not too many people.
+ Maid service was good.
+ The hall decor was somewhat classy, but the room interior is quite bare.
+ Room is fairly spacious.
+ Spa is pretty nice (got in for free w/ coupons)
+ Hotel was practically empty compared to other Strip hotels (saw long lines to check-in at other places)
Definitely recommend if you don't mind staying off the strip and having to commute 5 minutes.
