We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Las Vegas Hilton and I was pleasantly surprised with the property. They were in the process of a systems conversion due to its recent sale from Caesars Entertainment, but everything still went very smoothly. The check-in was extremely quick and friendly (even though I had to go back outside and get my car out of the valet parking because I needed my driver's license to register), the rooms were great including a full width countertop at the window looking out over the Las Vegas Country Club golf course, the swimming pool was plenty large with an abundance of seating (splurge one day and get the cabana - well worth the $45), the casino personell (at the crap tables anyhow) were more than friendly and chatty, and the price couldn't be beat. I don't know what new ownership will bring, but they're spending big bucks on expansion and updating. There were only two downsides. Its location, tt's back from the strip and you'll need a car to get around although there is a monorail station nearby, and the fact that there is no poker room. I would recommend this property to anyone. Good luck!!!

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last year, and most recently in early June. The service is not good, the rooms are generally worn-out, and they do not have a customer friendly attitude. What they do have is the most convenient hotel to the convention center, and I believe they take advantage of that fact. The convenience level is so high, that they do not have to be a good hotelier to have plenty of business. Therefore, my reco is to stay there only if you must, i.e., you need to be close to the convention center. Otherwise, stay somewhere else that will be glad to have your business and show it.

We stayed at the Las Vegas Hilton the last weekend in April 2004. We arrived very late (about 2am) and even though we didn't get our king size bed request, the frontdesk person upgraded us to a larger room with a murphy bed. You could host a small gathering and everyone would be comfortable.

We are frequent visitors to Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Hilton. We try to stay at this Hilton each time and are never disappointed. We have stayed at many other hotels in Las Vegas and regret not staying at this hotel. You will not be disappointed. The rooms are clean, the buffet is great and the 24hour cafe good too. There is plenty of parking and it's out of the way of busy Vegas streets.

If you book through the Las Vegas Hilton website (www.lvhilton.com) you'll get a deal that can't be beat. True, the hotel shows its' age a little, but it is tastefully decorated and the room I had was large, clean & comfortable. If you have a car then the drive to the strip is a breeze (I wouldn't want to walk it though). The casino is a little on the small side compared to some of the strip hotels, but it has all of the games that I enjoy and generally isn't as crowded as the strip properties. Overall I feel that this is a great VALUE for your entertainment dollar. I will be back.
