We stayed the last weekend in April 2008 and, being the finicky person I am about cleanliness, the Vegas Club outdid themselves in this area.

It is an older property on the famous Fremont Street Experience, but our room was very clean and we had a great view of downtown Las Vegas. There was ample parking available, the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the seating area was a nice touch. It has individually controlled heat/air (unlike most places that have one big, huge window unit) and sufficient closet space for any traveler.

The casino is small compared to some of the other big name properties (Binion's, Golden Nugget, etc.) but that's what makes it nice. It's not too crowded at any time and there's plenty of room to get around without being crowded in.

Dining consists of a small restaurant, which had really good food at affordable prices, a small sports bar, an ice cream stand and the main casino bar.

You're not too far from various dining and shopping venues and you're right at the start of the Freemont Street Experience.

Overall, for the price paid, this is a nice place. I would definitely stay here again.

Don't be fooled by some of the reviews on here. The Las Vegas Club Hotel & Casino is really a nice place to stay when in Las Vegas. It's far enough from the Strip to be quiet but yet easily accessible by car or bus.

Yes, it is an older property, but the room we stayed in (North Tower 1217) was verty spacious and clean and did not smell bad at all.

Dining is limited to a small restaurant and a sports bar, but you're in walking distance of several buffets and restaurants at the Fremont Sreet Experience.

I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Las Vegas.

Weekends in Vegas the strip hotels jack-up their rates so I thought I would save some money and stay in a downtown hotel. I found the Vegas Club hotel which had average ratings. The hotel is old and the rooms are like a Holiday Inn. The rooms are in fair shape and clean. It is not a great hotel but it is was clean and cheap for a Friday night. The lobby smells of smoke. They need to change out the carpet at the hotel. It would be a great investment for this hotel.

Others I will consider in the future when staying on weekends is the Fremont Hotel and the Four Queens Hotel. These casinos seemed nicer than the Vegas Club casino.

The website is a bit difficult to navigate. The price for the weekend was really cheap, averaging about $50 a night after taxes for a double. I stayed in the North Tower. The room decor is roughly like any other motel in the same price range.

Good Wi-Fi access, but it is through an outside company and is a bit pricey. The food in the restaurants is nothing exciting, but reasonably priced.

The casino has the usual selection of games, notably with a single deck hand-dealt Blackjack.

Parking is conveniently located, if there is a space open. I had to park at the sister property across the street on several occassions.

Location is great for access being at the beginning of the Fremont Street Experience, a block off I-15, and also on Main Street so getting to the Strip (about three to four miles away) is simple.

It's been a clean place to sleep, and for the price, a great value.

  • Liked — Convenience access to the highway/Fremont St.
  • Disliked — Parking

After reading some reviews online here and elsewhere, we booked for (2) North Tower rooms in March 2008. Rates were great, $40 mid-week, the rooms and floors on the north tower had been renovated recently and the room were VERY SPACIOUS. Bed was ok, a little hard for my taste but the rest of the group liked them. Overall, our experience was good as we just cared about the room and not so much for the casino. The casino was kind slow and sparse, but thats to be expected in downtown Las Vegas mid-week. Overall, good value for a basic room. Would book there again.
